Salutations all
I am so pleased to have joined this fab forum at last.
Amsterdam is the most wonderful place on earth and I fantasize about returning EVERY minute of EVERY day (5 prev trips). Talking to you fine peops about my favourite subject is the next best thing in my book! I have been looking forward to this for ages - am a self-confessed technophobe but having read some of the entries here I couldn't not join. Everyone seems so nice, and so bloomin' knowledgable when it comes to the great green ambrosia of the gods. Can't wait to talk to some of you - have many questions
Health, hope, and happiness to all
xx

!!
Thank you, all you guys, I do indeed feel very welcome.
Twitch, man, you're no fogey
And StonedSince'67, you're quite right, i am aware of the perils, but I re read that excellent article anyway. Very good advice, but my next trip will be the first time back to the Dam since succombing to a wheelchair so, to be frank,
they better watch out for
me!!! 4 wheels beats 2 any day of the week, and twice on Sundays

Four wheels ehh??
That explains your av.

Have read some other article by people getting around the "Dam in 'chairs and one suggestion I read was to put a bicyckle bell on it.

I think I saw that one too. Good idea but I'd like something a bit more distinctive than a 'tinkle' - a loud 'parp' maybe, lol! Am also going to attach a satnav for after leaving coffeeshops.
I will also have to warn everyone before I get there, I am a (unintentional) menace on wheels
