ubernoob guide to strains etc etc? is there one?

Post by davidw »

ok i don't hide the fact that i'm 100% new to the plant side of cannabis...

This much I get :

In ye olde days there were 3 distinct(ish) plants Sal, Ind and the other one. One (Ind) is restful in general, Sal on the other hand is more "creative".

Over many years, people who are clever have mixed em up a bit and we have lots of strains (who said GM was bad.?).

I also get that something with a countries name indicateds it should have come from that region

Heres where I fail........ wtf is chees, ak-47, bubble gum etc etc....

I was brought up to appreciate wine and different grapes and i'm guessing theres a strain for different circumstances / needs / wants.... i'd appreciate it if you could maby define some current popular strains by history, effect, physical characteristics (sight, smell, "taste"...)

thanks for your input.......

I would recommend the "Big Book of Buds" series as they have a ton of strains and everything you need to know about each one.

Here's a link to the third book. There are two volumes before it that are available as well.
