i'd recommend Amsterdam cheese in general- in terms of a good indica/stavia balance. My sister-in-law found it worked wonders post-op- dealt with the (xtreme) pain, nausea, the lot.
Maybe mix in with some temple ball for the sake of it?

also.. sorry to hear about your situation. Nobody should have to deal with all that. Hope you can find some relief. :(

forgot to mention-homegrown fantasy is out of cheese until feb (as far as i know) but bluebird blue cheese is just as good. HGF silver pearl is absolutely beautiful and seemed paranoia-free but I'm no expert, only had a few grams last time i was there.

The Cheese at HGF would definitely fit the bill perfectly. And whilst you or the hubby are there take the alley just north of the shop and visit their Seedshop as well. You can buy seeds there to take home with you.

I would definitely advise against the Silver Pearl. Out of all the sativas we smoked during our trip this was the most trippy/racy and had both of us paranoid for a couple of hours. Definitely not what you're looking for.

Also, if you're looking at growing something at home I'd like to recommend Paradise's Ice Cream strain. It's supposedly a good balance between stoned and high, tastes smooth and creamy (especially through a vaporizer), and smells of vanilla. I'll be able to confirm that for you in a couple of months ;)

Oh, and like a couple others said before, definitely pick up a vaporizer. No smoking is involved...just inhaling warm vapor. It's very healthy and makes your gear taste better and last longer. An extremely worthwhile purchase :)

The "Cheese" at Mellow Yellow would be a good substitute for the HGF version. That is, if they have any. They also carry "Blueberry", which produces a pleasant Indica stone with a nice creative buzz, but not speedy. It's won't couch lock you, unless you overdo it.
I second the "Blue cheese "suggestion. It may be a little speedy for you, though.
You may want to consider a "combo". "Blueberry" mixed with a nice light hash like "Aladdins Chocolate" from Popey.

Cheers

Thank you so much to all the wonderful stoners who replied. You guys make me very happy, and hopeful :)

I am going to try each and every strain recommended. Will have to wait for Dam trip, not til next autumn, for almost all of them but we do hear 'Cheesey' whispers from time to time round our way. Weed here is mostly completely f$~#ing s*%t!!! But you get what you can (in dodgy pub toilets). Growing really is the way ahead. Metal4Mullets - I actually whooped when I read your post! Ice cream!!! Yeah!!! That is my 'must-try-again-before-I-die' weed. I had some once. Dam. '05. Kadinsky. OMG. It was so smooth, and cool, and yummy and I felt so....replete. Complete and satisfied. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
And it's a good medicinal? Thank you God.
THANK YOU M4M!

Will def try the baking again, Colin(well, I'll watch!) now I know the way but have never tried a vapouriser - or seen one being used (that might be an unintentional fib, have missed a lot while sat in c/s'). Think I understand the theory; cooking instead of burning? Is it fussy to set up - or heavy? Do you need a plug available? I have one close socket with a 4way adapter and that holds bed, lamp, heating pad and laptop(new edition to the set up!) - I need them all. I can't reach to change them myself, it has to be done for me.
At the moment I find rolling spliffys a fairly no hassle option (though I do tend to drop contents mid-roll a lot! Luckily we have a skin up box over which I roll and when we run out of weed I use all the loose mix in the box!!! Skanky much? )
I spend 23 1/2 hrs a day on my bed, smoking (If I wasn't in this state my life would be a dream!). Hubby works 12 hr shifts - 250yrds away in case of BIG EMERGENCIES , we have to just ignore the regular emergencies now - but he sneaks out as often as he can to sort me out; loo, tea and hot water bottles, in that order! But we can't depend on regular breaks and it can sometimes be 8 or 9 hrs til I see him. Basically, I think any complicated 'equipment' might be too much of a hassle for me to do alone  , but thank you for the thought gents. Is there anything else you think suitable given the above circs? Must be smooth - I understand things like bongs are harsh (Sorry USBLord - never tried one

 ) and I don't mind the mixing with tobacco. Before weed and tobac combination I used to smoke tobacco. My mum worked for Rothmans when I was growing up - my household was never anti smoking!

Right, fingers hurting, buggering off now

P xxxx

ps Thanks alborada for kind words :)
pps DavidW - your play

Dude im sorry for your pain.

I use Indica's after rugby to help the aches and pains, although this is my own experience it might not be yours.

You are quite welcome, Porga! :)

As soon as my fiancé heard that there was a strain called "Ice Cream" she made me promise to find it somewhere. A ridiculously kind person donated a couple of beans to me and now we're on our way to determining just how good it really is. I'm actually jealous of YOU for having tried it already! If it's grown properly it sounds as though it will be outstanding. Just remember that Paradise is the breeder and you should then easily be able to find seeds.

I wish you the best! :D

Cheers :D M4M. You're a star! Hope it's as wonderful for you as I remember. We ladies can be dreadful when it comes to weed names - I will go for anything on a menu that is named after food. Must be 'cos we're led by our senses.

Thanks too,Niall, seems like indicas are the way to go. For some inexplicable reason I always used to go for sativas (days gone by).

Stuart!
If I smoked that much I might be the first ever mj related fatality! We will save for Ams so can splurge there but we have to survive on 3-4 tens a week at mo!!!!

Mr Stuart,

When you say Pain - is that as in SM type pain or as in pain relief? cos that sounds more like the first, and whilst I applaud it (part extreme mentality, part pure admire) I'm not sure the OP wants MORE pain :)

Still having said that - sometimes I welcome the sever pain in my legs thats intermittent - stops me thinking about my shoulder pain for a while ;)

the LAcon from tweede kammer had good pain relief for me....but anything indica dominant works for me......mostly pain in spine knees and feet, but downside can be couchlock......sativas tend to make me hyperactive with a hyperactive and random train of thought...........so i tend to mix and match when wandering around Amsterdam
