Evening all :)

What is the best strain for pain?

This is the most important question I have for all you forumites. Unfortunately, there are many other factors to consider too, and I am going to have be very boring for a minute to explain them

I have a number of musculo-skeletal diseases/conditions and a few random other ones that help to create a very special existance. These are the main ones; Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility Syndrome, Osteopaenia, Fibromyalgia and Dyspraxia.........
EDS - 'connective tissue disorder', its like a wasting disease for everything made of connective tissue in the body; muscles, ligaments, bursas, skin, veins, nerves - basically everything. My bod has stopped producing a certain type of protein that aid durability. It's like stretching chewing gum instead of an elastic band (the band is stronger and springs back). It's progressive. Injuries and pain are constant and don't heal properly and due to the nerve issues I don't always know if I've damagd myself until later.
HMS - Is an extreme natural laxity (looseness) of the joints, which, in itself creates injury and pain but when combined with the above....
OST - Is a lack of density in the bones, which means easier and greater damage.
FIB - Is, you won't believe this  , a pain disorder. Not only do you feel pain in specific areas of the body - no injuries neccessary - but the pain recievers in the brain are faulty, with the dial stuck on HIGH, so should a part of you be hurt, oh dear.
DYS - Is, you really won't believe this ...... clumsiness! Like dyslexia but with coordination. I am medically accident prone! This is less of a prob than it used to be, don't move much anymore.

So, as you can see, I am in need of weed. THE weed. Hopefully to grow (naughty) but def to purchase in the Dam - don't worry 'bout accessability, hubby loves a quest, specially in Ams and when we go I will mostly be staying inside our smoker friendly accom. However, because of the above there are special conditions as well as pain relief:
Body stone is great but I am already 'couch-locked' and, sometimes, I don't want to feel zombie-like, but very much alive, and interested in stuff. :) But, don't enjoy 'trippiness' or racing heart, can make me faint.
It really can't be a 'tokeandchoke' (or Twitch's Strawberry Cough would be on the list!)Coughing, and especially choking, can dislocate or break my ribs, or push the discs out my spine etc. Unavoidable generally, but I don't want my 'salvation' smoke to cause issues. Needs to be a haven, not risk.
Paranoid thoughts are also a no-no - trying to steer clear of depression!( I smoke throughout day and night, don't really sleep - although use quite weak mix, mostly due to low funds!) Munchies a must  Can be difficult to find your appetite in a body like this.

VERY tall order, I know, perhaps what I need are several weeds.
Anyway, so much stuff, sorry to go on :?

In conclusion..... anyone know the strains good for pain and what the other effects are?
ALL info welcome :D
Thanks guys, in advance, much much appreciated,

Porg xx

I think this might help you. I have a doctor's appointment tonite for MMJ and I plan on using heavy indicas for their knockout effect to attack joint pain. I've also found some sativas are good for distracting my mind from pain. Sorry I can't recommend any one strain for it's pain relief effect. Good luck.

I suffer from arthritis and find the heavy indicas help, this is apparently a good medicinal strain: http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?p ... gel%20Dust

Often quoted as the classic medicinal indica for pain relief is Sensi Seeds Black Domina. White Rhino is another.

Indica dominant hybrids offer the best option "during the day" for socialising and interacting, pick up your mood etc. Anything 60/40 indica/sativa to 90/10 i/s can be great.

In the dam maybe blueberry, lavender (katsu, johnny, dampkring), cheese (homegrownfantasy) are options for indica dom with some nice sativa like lift.

Media's Hindu Kush is a great indica, clean calm and centring.

Lemon Skunk - Morning Pick Me Up, Pain, Nausea, Mild Depression

Master Kush/Highrise - Same as above (de graal, bluebird)

Some medical users can find pure sativas a bit too racey. Certainly when I have been ill (crohn's) I would not find even a sativa dom hybrid satisfactory for pain relief. So no diesel etc

Although a little trick regarding any possible paranoia or fear or anything i find is: remember you are stoned :) seriously it helps a lot! That said there are plenty of nice sativa ish crosses that will be great for depression mood etc Maybe dreamy john sinclair from papillon for example.

For good value in the dam you have to try YoYo! Great value in here, loads of outdoor so you will find something nice in here. Just ask the nice lady for something medicinal! ooh and get the other half to pick up some take-away apple dessert, actually scratch that yoyos is big and relatively wheelchair friendly (and just friendly) i recommend a visit because your cash will go miles there!

Oh, and 'bout the cakes; LOVE them in the Dam, and space hot choc with real cream - triple treat that one, but home experiments do not seem to work at all!!!!

Any tips?

I'll second that.
Even the Strawberry Cough is fairly smooth in my Volcano when set at 5 or 5.5

In that case it's Chemo and I believe it's more for appetite gain and fighting nausea.
