According to Wikipedia the term guido has been theorized to have developed as an insult among Italian Americans applied to new immigrants. Today the word has taken on a completely different meaning and is used to describe Italian Americans that look like this.

Didn't mean to bump such an old and ridiculous thread, but since this thread was on the topic of douchebags and guidos I thought it was fitting. It looks like Canada is going to get their own version of Jersey Shore. The four dudes on the show look like Canadians of the doucheier variety.
