So i moved to dam earlier in the year, living in de pijp area.
Having been a long time smoker the initial 'holy crap i am in a sweetshop' of living in dam has worn off and i generally now just shop local.
Everyone knows the usual Pijp hangouts
Katsu
Club Media
Yo-Yo
Carmona
Papillion
But there are others that dont get so discussed that i wanna start to check out.
Ocean
Space Mountain
D&L
Atlantis
Roxy
Ibiza
Blue Sea
I know there is a cople more (cant think of the names) but just wondering if anyone else is local and can shed any light.
For the most they are more local, smaller menus but cheaper; for now I have only tried Ocean (amazing cheap haze) and Atlantis (nice resin and great bar next door)
More choice is always good; tho at present inevitavely end up in Katsu once a week!

Thanks for the 'regional' report! I too frequent the local shops but I seem to always find myself cycling cross town (from the Westerpark) to Katsu. Their product is amazing!
Great area you live in.

I'm in de Pijp also.

A couple of other shops in our neighborhood are:
Greenhouse Tolstraat
de Keeper
Today
Kabouter
de Graal
Holiday
Sheiva
A good number of shops in our area. Happy coffeeshopping!

I have great memories of Space Mountain. I was there with a mate in spring 2000 and we played chess with the owner, checked out the different buds with him and all that.

Don't mean to drag this off topic but as their are a few locals in this thread I wanted to ask- what are the bars/clubs like in de pijp? I hear that is where a lot of students tend to hang out. Can anyone reccomend anywhere good to go on a sat night?
