Hmmm, its kinda hard to imagine going to Amsterdam and NOT having fun. You gotta be seriously miserable kinda person for that to happen....

Point I wanna make is "The HTCC is a fix"... How in the world can one coffeeshop (Barneys) win everything??? I bought weed from there and felt a bit letdown. Tangerine Dream was nice, but no cup winning entry, there were much better strains out there. MUCH BETTER...

I guess peeps genereally feel letdown by the HTCC, an event which we all look to for info regarding the best weeds/hasj,iso etc - the Dam has to offer - and the HTCC is not refelective of that. Hasn't been for years. Yes, sure, people will buy passes, get baked and claim "Had the time of my life" - and they did, coz they got baked. But ask them - "Do you think the right strains won?" and they won't answer you in a hurry.

I met Franco from GHS the morning of the 22nd and had a brief chat with him. Asked him what they were entering and he replies "Super Lemon Haze", to which I replies "That's a fucking deja-vu man, you telling me you guys have been to 2 different continnents, claim you breed the best strains, and couldn't come out with something original enough to leave the SLH on the shelf this year?" he wasn't expecting that, and promptly fobbed me off with, "Ah there you are, sorry mate I have to go" lol...

In all honesty, I'm beginnging to think that Arjan, Derry and High Times are in cahoots with eachother...

Personally, I'm well pleased that I didnt get a pass for the cup, as I woulda been outraged at the results had I paid to watch

The cup was Stoopid .......... Tangerine Dream was POOP ...... Barneys just gave away the most "goodies" ........ I will visit the motherland many times in the future but wont be attending another cup ...... I have been to a few before and they are getting worse. I DONT want to be a hater I had a great time when I was not attending the events. If you want to know what should have won the cup is to take Barneys and GH out of the picture. 3rd place is the best spot in the cup.

Thats why you get a pass early (cheap), just go And get blazed anyway! Tangerine dream was shit and the nectar and most of the entrys.....No pass is worth 250 euros.....what for a t-shirt and a few bong hits!!!! ha ha ha.

But, theirs nothing wrong picking up the few grams u get for nothing and the free travel and spliffs. Plus Cudi and Dilated pulled it off.

Just think, Its what u make it. Amsterdams Amsterdam! but, High Times? Well, thats a whole new thread? I think.

TBH, after reading the comments there and comparing them to ACD, I'm going with ACD. You guys aren't batshit insane like some of those guys are.

That said, I think I'll stick with going to A'dam when the CC isn't around. Nice and quiet and the shops I liked didn't enter anyway(Basjoe's, for example).

I'm really, really sorry. The link is from High Times magazine and I went to it a number of times with no warnings or problems on my browser.

The Hightimes website had a cyber attack last month that has caused most internet security software to throw up false threat.
