Hey, I just booked a handful of days straight after the Cup in November.

May see some of you guys about, in Basjoes I guess.

I'm there to update my map where I can, take some pics and to hopefully sample some of the Cup winners after the event.

I am going on the 21st - 26th with 3 mates (3rd time in a year), arrive 9am in the morning as well and am staying in Dam square.

Quick couple of questions:

Is it worth getting a judges pass when I am highly unlikely to attend the exhibition's (1 or 2 day's I will be there but that's it) and award's and am not too bothered about the judging aspect.

With a judge's pass when you go to coffee shops you are judging do you have to pay for the actual bud you are going to judge?

Please tell me any advantages of having the judge's pass, 2 of my mates don't care about getting them as they think it's a waste of money whilst 1 friend really want's to buy one, I am undecided, we have all been to Dam before but are first timers at the cup.

You have been posted on the November Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
There is at least one Toke & Talk every day of your visit.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=43751

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

In 1995 judges got a 50% discount on strains entered in the cup. I don't know how they do it now.

Enjoy

yer choice..pass gets you free admis to the concerts, and the expo,..you will still pay for bud at shops, lotta freebes, and the expo, once yer in you will smoke free all day from the vendors and the giant vapor ballons...the cup shops kick it up a notch....,,having all night parties and lots of free gear...some shops wont let you in without a pass,(greenhouse comes to mind)...ill give ya my pass for a day if ya wanna hit the expo...there plenty to do...whatever ya do ,enjoy :D...i personally like it caus eya got all the seed companies under one roof and that makes my quest easier, and i get to learn things from breeders,...knowledge

Since the pass is $250 and if you only plan on going for 2 days it isn't worth it. You can buy a Day Pass for $30 if you want to check out the Expo. Concert tickets can be bought individually as well. Have a look at the first post for links.

Yes. Regardless if you buy the pass or not you still have to buy your own gear. As Bong said, some shops will only let you in with a pass mainly Greenhouse. A few shops may even give you a small sample, less than a half gram.

I have been in town during the cup at least 4 times and actually went only twice. It all depends on what you want to get out if it. If it knowledge about buds, growing, paraphernalia and the like, it might be worth it. If you are just getting to walk around the Expo for a couple of days and smoke whatever they are sampling, not so much. Just think how much weed & hash can be bought for a $1,000? Since that's what you would be spending on passes between the four of you.

Peace,
Balou
