going to be in the dam in early january. would really want to get some hawians if possible, wont be quite the same there without them. this will be my 19th visit, and although i love the quality weed, chilled out vibe and the sheer glorious madness which is amsterdam it is the shrooms which kept me returning.
anyone staying there/been ther recently with any suggestions on where to look or is it just a waste of time?

Have you never done LSD acid trips then? Just curious.

never been able to get any. had a few mescaline trips though. similar but different.

I was just curious to know how the shrooms in Amsterdam compared, as I've never done shrooms myself. Not really my thing anymore, but was wondering if shrooms is similar and lasts as long as a trip.

my only acid trip was off a spiked drink years ago. not the most pleasant of trips. cubenisis mushrooms are weaker than lsd but give a similarish experience. hawianan shrooms are a differnt story- they have a gear to them other shrooms just dont have. they are very powerful and give a very strong lsd like trip. in my opinion better. they def give you a state of mind and effects other shrooms lack.
mescaline in easy to get hold off. sources can be obtained legally in uk. it is similar but differnt. more like shrooms than acid. a warm pleasent trip with great visions, which can be very meaningfull. i once had visions of childhood events on a mescaline trip, so clear it was like i was there- amazing stuff.

what about the effects of wet vs dry mushrooms? i have experience with dry only, can someone elaborate please on the wet fungus that (from what i understand - counting down the days to my first 'dam visit) is still legally available OTC?

You will find dry shrooms!
Wet ones have to be dryed first, me allways had the dry ones.

It's illegal, that's why you have to ask, maybe you won't get them and someone else get's them at the same place!
The man behind the counter decides, we never had problems in getting some.
I guess they will never sell to teens or unexperienced guys, because of the trouble this causes!

You can eat wet mushrooms, but IMO dried are better, easiest to eat, but you'll get the same effect

if you have never had shrooms, dried hawians would not be a good place to start. try some mexicanas or truffels first. hawians are significantly stronger and it would be wise to try some of the other shrooms first.

I'm not sure mexicans would be the best for a shroom beginners. They make you totally crazy but you don't really have the visual part of the trip. Furthermore the high is very long (maybe shorter while smoking weed, I've heard cannabis reduces the effects of shrooms)
For a good visual trip without the brain blowing effect, I'd recommend Colombians.

im no beginner. hawaiins all the way. maybe colombians or mexicans first day just for some laughs, then later onto some more adventures.

all cubenisis mushrooms (columbian, thai, mexican ect) are basically the same and will all give very similar trips. depends alot on the individual- some will say one type is more visual than another type however this is not really true. they all contain exactly the same active agents in roughly the same percentages. (Psilocybin/psilocin and Baeocystin). There are loads of debates about this on other sites such as shroomery. Thses mushrooms loose potency when dried however with a larger dose this can be overcome.

copelandia cyan's (hawians) are a differnt species of mushroom. as well as the above they also contain a variety of psycoactive alakoloids (highest alkaloid content of all ). Its these that give them the extra gear and differnt trip compared to cubenisis shrooms. these mushrooms do not lose potency when dried.

there used to be this russian dude alex who sold shrooms at la canna then at takana smartshop who always promised to get me some azurescens (extremely rare). The strongest of all the psycoactive mushrooms.
