I am not sure if there is any ONE thing people eat for Xmas dinner...I know people who make the whole turkey dinner all over again, some make ham...where I live there is a HUGE Latin population and tamales are traditional...I always make a prime rib roast with mashed potatoes and gravy...butternut squash with red onions...broccoili cheese casserole...steamed green beans...and rolls.Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:Are the American Xmas meals different to the English ones?luvtick wrote:I got indigestion...lol...
Id be quite interested to experience an American Xmas to see if its any different to ours...
My indigestion came from my COOKIES, though...........
my moms from england and i spent my first and only christmas in the uk in 07/08. was different for sure but i actually liked how its done over there as poosed to here. we had a Christmas eve dinner and instead of a dinner on Christmas day we had a REALLY nice lunch which left the rest of my day open to do whatever. was a great trip except for getting a badass flu at the end and having to pay like 150 pounds to see a dr. got to hit amsterdam before too ...good times.
for the record i like a nice prime rib for Christmas dinner. cooked medium rare to medium. yum. with some gravy, veggies, yorkshire, fruit salad, etc.
