Are these good choses for my first stops?

So I'm returning to the dam in July for 6 nights and have been researching (I'm very keen) the best coffeeshops close to my hotel that aren't overly touristy (I'm staying at Hotel France). I've been to Amsterdam before, but only for 2 nights and 1 day and didn't really get to check out many coffeeshops besides Grasshopper and the random one I stumbled into while drunk. I really want to make the most of my trip this time.
How are these for my initial stops? I am also planning on heading to Rotterdam for the day and perhaps even out to Haarlam, so any suggestions for those places would be appreciated
1. Dampkrin (the one near centraal station)
2. Barney's
3. Amnesia
4. Grey Area
I'm going to be with some friends who don't really know much about the city and I just know they're going to get a big culture shock, so I want to take them to the best places closet to our hotel so they can get a bit more comfortable with the surroundings early on. They both appreciate good weed, so I know to steer clear of the tourist traps like Grasshopper and Bulldog.
I'm also doing a Ganja Tour (
http://www.ganjatours.net) as a friend has recommended them to me and apparently they take you out a bit to all the more local coffeeshops for locals. Has anyone heard about these tours and/or done one before?

Welcome to the forum.
What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
Haarlem is a good idea and easy to do. My two favorite Haarlem shops are Birdy and WW Indica.
Enjoy

Those are excellent first choices!
Amnesia and Grey Area both are a couple of my absolute favorite shops. Amnesia also has really good food! Great place to chill as well. I highly recommend their Pink Kush.
I'm sure you know that GA is usually busy but in the off-season you'll probably be able to grab a seat. They had a batch of Chocolope in August that was ridiculously tasty/potent...but almost everything there will be quite good.

While your on Haarlemmerstraat, check out "Popeye" and "Picasso". They are both good shops. Avoid "Barneys" unless they have the "Vanila Kush", which everyone is raving about.

You are going to enjoy the herb from those shops, so you can't go wrong with any of them.
My first purchase was from BEN, by pure randomness. Little did I know 420 was right across the street and Homegrown Fantasy just around the way.
Instead of hitting a big shop we were treated with a great experience from a smaller lesser known.
I keep thinking that Basjoes will be the first next time, I probably won't be able to pass up Central, HGF or any number of possibilities... lol
How fun is it to plan?!?!?!
Enjoy your trip!

Haarlemerstraat is always the direction i go when i get off the train in Centraal, normally Barneys, Dampkring, Picasso or Popeyes would be my 1st stop... then on to Grey Area and Homegrown Fantasy
