I didn't start the thread to cry. I started the thread to open up a debate about stereotypes and how ridiculously arrogant they can sound. I'm sorry I offended your "inner core" so much.

Those videos are pretty funny actually. I'm English and the English video made me laugh the most.....they really were thick people haha, but you get them all over the world no matter what anyone says so i don't think it matters what people think really.
Anyway, without people like that in the world, we would be without shows like Jeremey Kyle and Jerry Springer!

Indeed sterotypes can sound arrogent, but if someone was to read the responses on this thread do you think that they would decide to challenge the sterotypes? Sterotypes are fowarded by the actions of people, you want a real time example, go to Barcelona for a weekend now, then book a week in Magaluf around August and you'll see why the English one gets forwarded.

I don't really see where I came across as arrogant in my responses. I was only joking about the boomerang invention, and in no way was I trying to say America was superior to Australia. The video I was commenting on was edited to make all the responses look dumb and didn't include the people who gave intelligent answers. I guess when I did the same thing by only putting the boomerang down as an invention it got misinterprated as arrogance. It was not a defensive post at all, just a poor attempt at humor on my part.

I posted those videos to show that it was easy to make any one look dumb in any country. I also wanted to break down sterotypes of certain nationalities being stupid by showing stupid people can be found anywhere.
