Well I think HGF is a must for me really man, want to get some tasty cheese, apart from that I'm not fussy. Noon looks quite close to my hotel so thats probably a good idea. Probably try and findsomething good near Vondelpark as well for the breakfast/spliff sessions. What about yourself?

After reading some peoples trip reports, i think i would like to check out Hunters bar and, like you, HGF.

Am hoping to do some of the well known coffee shops, but then would like to find somewhere a little less popular but still just as good. Need to try to not spend that much money! How much do you think, on average, you will be spending each day? How you getting there?

I've a few questions, so figured here is as good a place as any:

- To what extent can you inspect the weed before you buy it? Is it a case of looking at it, or can you have a good smell of the jar and decide? Are the people behind the counters generally quite nice, as there is a group of us going who have never been and are a little worried for being taken as complete mugs!

- If you were arriving next Wednesday, what would you 3 'must visit' places at the moment be?

- Is it still snowy?!

Cheers for the warm welcome, posted up some pics in the 'what are you smoking right now?' thread or whatever its called!

Probably 50-80€ a day for two of us I spose, but we are both vegetarians and pretty into food and stuff. My Girl can smoke as well so that is going to cost me haha. I guess tht will all be moderated by the fact that some killer weed will pretty much stop me spending (or doing) anything for a bit haha. But like you said man, I need to keep a lid on it all money wise. Im flying out of gatwick, managed to get flights and hotel with B&B for 300 for two of us, arriving monday at 1500 and leaving Thurs at 2100.

Nice deal. We are going on the bus ( :( ) BUT it is entirely overnight so can sleep all the way then we arrive in Amsterdam on Weds at 10am. Found a hostel that works out just over £10 each a night incl. breakfast which suits us perfectly, is in the RLD.

Great way to put your loan to use. :) Just dont get carried away there it's easy to spend too much.
