trip report: day two - 12/1/10

thought id better get day two posted before its all lost in a haze.

day two began at around a very respectable half ten. quick shower, breakfast to replenish energy levels and then time to begin the trip properly. in my past vists mellow yellow was the furthest down id travelled. something i needed to change.

first visit of the day was to be katsu. heard good reviews although why some people get the tram iv ne idea. its only another 10mins walk at most from mellow yellow. was quite a novelty for me visiting a well regaurded shop id never been to before. fairly nice place although i was not really blown away. decided to go for 20 euro special on morrocan ice and 10e deal on lavander. the lavander has recieved a lot of very good reviews on this site but was a real dissapointment. on a par with the taz haze at dampkring, not great looking, little taste, and even less effect. bare in mind this was a pure 1st spliff of the day. bad batch i guess. morrocan ice hash was on the other hand very nice, good deal and would recomend. a brief stroll round the street market then back towards centrum.

next stop was paradox. usually visit as i think it is a very nice shop with a nice vibe (far less tourist central). asked bud tender for his recomendation on hash. suggested turkish which i purchased. nice mellow hash. think smokedog went for isolator, whatever it was was nice also. would suggest a trip to paradox if you are anywhere near anne frankhouse.

after a brief wander stopped off at bassjoes for coffee and smoke supplies. think smokedog bought some cheese which was nice (hgf is slightly better).

then headed to meet shroom contact to get some hawian shrooms.nice

after a brief stop at hotel headed back to dampkring on harlemstrat to get some more nyc diesel. nice nice stuff.

after pizza for tea, went to home grown fantasy and bought 1g silver pearl and a slice of vanilla space cake. after couple of spliffs went back to hotel.

shroom time. had half a portion of dried hawians and within an hour i was in a differnt world. had hawians loads of times and these were the strongest id ever had. glad i only went for half a bag as id probally be still tripping now! after a wonderfull psychedelic light show lasting a few hours a couple more spliffs then bed. no trip to amsterdam is complete with out a trip on hawians.[/b]

PS had no idea Katsu is 10 minutes from Mellow yellow , last time i was tripping it felt like days ) about 1 hour from Barneys lounge ) getting to Katsu.

Was there any other ics on the menu at Katsu ?

If you are Mellow Yellow it is definitely not a long walk at all. If you do walk, it's a great opportunity to go through the Albert Cuyp Market. It is an open air street market. A nice little diversion and something different to see.

Also, about a block south of Katsu is Sarphati Park (sp?). We blew up a couple fatties there and worked some hash.

sounds like an awesome day i like the vibe at paradox too
