Day 2
After a crazy 1st day Matty was knocking on my door at 9 waking me up, by the time i was in and out of the shower the rest of the lads in my room were waking from their pit, looking very much zombie like and most of the lighting up the spliff by the side of their beds which they just couldnt finish last night. As me and Matty were ready were decided on going Stone Corner to have a look, i have never been in here before.
Stones Corner
Blue Cheese 10e 0.8/g
As we sat by the door, we see another of our group walk past, it was Joe looking for stamps i think, i see him head off towards the RLD, when i spoke to him later he told me he got what he was looking for on the Damrak... so for people familiar with Dam, he must have walked in one big circle!!! lol.
Anyhow, Matty skinned up something from last night and i skinned up the Blue Cheese pure

, proper wake and bake style. I had a txt from T'dinho, and i had intended on meeting up with him, but you know how stoners do and plans easily get thrown out of the window.
We met up with the rest of the crew and after much pondering and deliverating over where we were gonna eat we decided to jump on the tram down 2wards the Albert Market, probably the best place in the city.
Off the tram and straight down the centre of the market, which reminds me a little of Walthamstow market in its heyday. We stopped in a little cafe i think it was called the Lunch room and most of us had a cheese and ham omlette, some started the day with a bottle or 2 of Heineken, the 2 ladies and indeed the fella that run this little cafe were very nice and bubbly, the ladies even gave us ashtray when we were gonna go out the front to smoke (a spliff), they were fine with us smoking in their cafe, but the fella wasnt very impressed, so in the end he let us out the back to smoke which was right opposite Club Media coffeeshop

. Which was instatly our next stop, out the back door and straight into Media
Media
I didnt buy anything here as i still had the Cheese and Chocolope from the last boys standing venture to Dampkring last night, although the Menu looked nice and all the boys were pleased with what they had. The guys in the shop were very friendly and showed us all the weed we wanted and came over and made polite conversation (initially to tell Matty to get his Heineken bottle out of sight), one of my favourite shops, if only they had the pool table working, i had also heard a myth about Pro Evo Soccer tournements on Playstation 3, but havent seen it for myself.
Katsu
Black Widow 10e 0.8/g
Probably the most popular shop around this area, and with the Black Widow, probably one of the most popular strains from any one coffeeshop. The Black Widow was great tasting, and a chair clencher, a chocomel later and i was revitalized and we set off towards Carmona... main reason is that once near or in Carmona Coffeeshop Yoyo is just 100 yards away
Carmona
We went in and Matty and Chris started arguing with the budtender, i must say that out of the 3 tubs he showed us that he believed was the best the shop had to offer none stood out, some ever even hard looking, the kind where you would get hard ash!!!, anyway we departed from here and took the short walk to Yoyo.
YoYo
Haze - 5e 0.9/g
What a great coffeeshop, it looks like a small studio flat, the ladies that run the shop are always friendly and the weed although outdoor and different from what other shops offer was great. I skinned up my Haze in one pure joint. While in here the others very belatly may i add realised that our long haired scotsman friend from the previous day wasnt with us, all the boys throughly enjoyed your company Twitchaldinho, and thanks for the little present, your a top geeza and hope to have a toke with you again regardless of it being in Dam, London of the Burgh of Edin

. Most of the crew got the indoor Amnesia from YoYo, and it was up to scratch with the best of em.
Leaving YoYo i got a call.... or a txt from Pauli to say he was up and about, and i told him that Mellow Yellow would probably be the best place to meet. We walked down the road and discovered coffeeshop Ibiza, who quite rightly wasnt going to let us in because Tom had no ID on him!, so we decided to walk back down the market and bought a freshly made waffle with chocolate sauce, it was delicious, got it all over my face though!!!
The tram was taking forever to come, so after looking on the map and deciding Mellow Yellow was walking distance we did excatly that. Its the 1st time i've walked from the Market back towards the the south end of the city (walking northwardly) back past the great Heineken Expo whcih we all really wanted to go to, but most of us didnt had the funds to go in their!!! So past the big round about that would confuse most people if they wernt dutch and up towards Mellow Yellow.
Mellow Yellow
Sleezestick 10e 1/g
Before anything, this IS my favourite shop, great menu, good bartenders, I've had my best and funniest ever laughing fit in here and had some great fun times... also it was where we met up with Pauli Wallnuts, Lampshade and Couch at the 420 bash last year.
After hearing mixed reviews about this bud(Sleezestick), i wanted to look at it myself and it looked ok and smelt fine so i had a gram, and we all agreed it was a nice smoke,
On entering we were asked for ID, Tom didnt have his so he was refused entry, oh well, im not missing a sitting in here because you forgot to bring out ure ID mate, lol, we told he to retret to Coffeeshop Little, REI and Sol had run out of money and made their way towards Leides Square to find a western union, i think Joe went with Tom to Little, so it was me, Adrian, Matty, Aaron and Chris left in Mellow Yellow, waiting for Pauli, who turned up midway through the 1st sleezestack spliff, he wanted to find coffeeshop Yoyo.
Little
Again, unusually i didnt buy anything in here, i still had a small stash of the Cheese from Dampkring, Sleezestick from MY, Black Widow from Katsu and a couple of Hash bits, which had to be TempleBalls from Amnesia. Pauli didnt wanna come in here, he wanted to visit Katsu and Yoyo. I did my best to direct Pauli from Katsu to Yoyo. "Right Pauli, if you walk past Katsu (on the right) come to the crossroads where the Sarphatpark (sp) is, take a left there so that you are waling 'on top' on the park, and when you come to the end of the park do a right so that you are walking down the side of the park and it is on your right, the 1st road you come to on your left and take it, walk over 1 juntion and you will find Carmona coffeeshop, carry one 100 yards past and YoYo is on the corner of the small juntion".... somewhere Pauli didnt listen, or in my stoned state i got the directions wrong, but he never did find YoYo, sorry mate

, next time well all go together

. So Pauli made his way wherever he went, i know he made it to Katsu, and we chilled in Little waiting for REI and Sol to come back, they understood my directions as they got to where they wanted to go and back to coffeeshop Little with ease
We decided to get on the tram and head towards another of my favourites... Paradox
We got off at Dam Square and walked down the road behind the Albert Hein supermarket that is just behind Dam square, Pauli phoned me and said he was near Sanamatereeing (sp), perfect, but he had never been to Paradox before and i told he its a buger to find if you dont know it, we met up on the bridge that goes over Keizersgracht (sp again). The rest of the crew were way behind me, and we were waiting for 5 minutes as one by one the made the bridge, Pauli had met Adrian and Matty the previous night and knew the Van Goth style madness of REI, it was time for him to meet the rest of the crew. Looking out over the bridge, the canal had beautifully frozen over, prompting me to get my camera out for the 5 and last time of the trip!.
Paradox
Bubble Cheese 12e 1.2/g
Had a nice cup of coffee and loved the Bubble Cheese, we chatted for a while in here, and Chris had fallen into a deep sleep, so we informed the bartender to wake him up 30 seconds after we left and he jovefully agreed, we waited outside and when the guy woke him up and explained he had been their for an hour his face looked horrified, he must have heard us outside laughing as he looked straigh at us and smiled
Now we had split ideas of where to go, Pauli wanted to go Basjoe, and i did to, Joe and Adrian wanted to go Tweede Kamer, so for the 1st time we split into 2 smaller groups or me, Pauli, Matty, REI and Sol, and we went to Basjoe, Adrian, Joe, Tom,Aaron and Chris wandered off into the darkness looking for Tweede Kamer.
Basjoe
Orange Bud 7e 1/g
As usual greeted by the ever friendly and stoned budtender and legend on ACD that is James
As i was running a bit low on funds i decided for the cheap and cheerful Orange bud, not normally a smoke i would buy, and probably wont again, but it wasnt bad. Worth a try as much as anything, I think Pauli got some hash, possible King Hassan, and James just smiled in acknowledgment that Pauli wanted to good stuff. As we hadnt had much to eat and were getting the munchies we got a couple of space cakes between us, and they were top quality, i dont know about the effect, but they tasted nice.
I got a call from Adrian who said they were on there way to Bluebird, which was perfect for us as its a 2 minute walk from Basjoe, but we went back to the Damstraat 1st, 1 to get something to eat, 2 so i could get some money from the same cashpoint i alwasy use, the one just off Dam square and the start of Nes. Then we trotted back off in the direction off GreenPlace and towards Bluebird
Bluebird
Blue Cheese 12.50e 1.3/g
Zero Zero 20e 2.2/g
We met the other lads who were already in here, they were sitting by the bar at the long table, we all crammed into the smoking room and Matty was told off by the lady behind the bar for using a chair as a foot stall. The Zero Zero is excatly the kind of Hash that i like, soft by not squidgy, lightish brown and crubled in your finger tips, and at a nice price also, or so i think. The Blue Cheese filled up the whole bag, and was easily better and most tasteful that that i got in Stones Corner earlier. (IVE BEEN WRITTING FOR LIKE 15 MINUTES STR8... WHAT DO YOU THINK, TIME TO SMOKE SOME OF THE SPLIFF IN THE ASHTRAY

.....)
Again it was time to get to Nes and add some alcohol to our well and truly baked system. A couple of Leffe's later and spliffs and volcano bags and it was time to get back to the hotel
Excuse me while I light my Spliff.....
