Hotels that allow smoking in room?

Did a quick scan and didn't notice The Amsterdam Hotel House-Eureka was mentioned. I stayed there last Thursday (22nd) and was told during check-in that if I smoked I need to smoke out of an open window, mainly due to the sensitivity of the smoke alarm. Who am I to doubt, so I complied. No problems.
