Michigan became the 14th U.S. State of legalize cannabis for medical purposed in November of 2008.

Patients and caregivers (i.e. growers designated by medical marijuana patients) are provided permits through the Michigan Department of Community Health. Click HERE for the website and information on the permitting process.

The Michigan Medical Marijuana Association is a large professional association for patients and caregivers. Click HERE for their website.

Since the law was passed, the Michigan Department of Community Health has permitted over 7,000 patients and over 3,000 caregivers.

Danny Trevino has started a small business devoted to everything involving Michigan Medical Marijuana including instruction on cultivation, information on how to become a patient or caregiver, and provides retail sales on growing supplies.

It would have been a forum for licensed Michigan Medical Marijuana patients and caregivers to compare and evaluate differing strains of medical marijuana. Instead, prohibitionist law enforcement and prosecutors sought to thwart the law AND the will of Michigan citizens, who overwhelmingly approved the use of medical marijuana in Michigan in November of 2008.

A first-of-its-kind members only medical marijuana club is slated to open in mid-Michigan:

In order to join and consume cannabis at the club, you MUST have a legally issues medical marijuana permit/card from the Michigan Department of Public Health.

The county sheriff, though, is calling it a "joke".

That's fairly alarming; the top cop in the county using the term "joke" to describe citizens exercising their legal rights.

Sounds like our infamous sheriff.

I love how sheriffs are always talking like people really give a fuck what they think. They always come off as narrow minded blow jobbers to me.
