Aug-Oct - Weather?

Post by abcdabcd »

What's the weather like in NL around Amsterdam during August-late October months? Should you pack winter clothes? From what I've read, it can rain anytime so it's advised to pack rain jackets, etc.. is that correct?

Are you joking or serious? Sorry, I don't really know. I'm kinda lost when it comes to weather temps. I actually had to google today, "what's the ideal weather temperature"

Yeah, I remember you from that post. I'm not planning on visiting until August 2010, so I'll contact you when the time is closer. I don't want to waste your time and many things can change from now until then.

Thanks!

To answer this question, bring rain gear and some waterproof boots (but not heavy winter boots). Its nice to have dry feet.

Alright, that sounds like what I was needing to know. I'm used to a very hot environment so the weather there sounds like will be pleasant compared to what I'm used to (Texas Heat (u.s.)) I've heard about the rain issues in NL so, I'll just make sure to prepare for the rain more than the cold.

Thanks

Nederlands weather is unpredictable at the best of times so it is best to bring a light rain jacket just in case. I have been to amsterdam in august and september on a few occassions and the weather has been great. I go camping when in amsterdam so rely on good weather i have noticed that the summers are getting later so you might be lucky. I hope so cos Im camping the first week of september.
