Hi guys, I am making a cheap and cheerful visit to Eindhoven this week courtesy of cheap ryan-air flights. I am staying only two nights and intend to make a short day-trip to Tilburg on the second day. I have (as usual) used the excellent information available in the directory and forums to make my plans but would like to ask you knowledgeable people if you have any additional advice for me?
In Eindhoven I have marked out the following places to visit; The Pink (nearest my hotel), Grasshopper, Upstairs, De Bakkerij, New Wave, Euro-Garden, Sinbad. Also the smoker-friendly bar La Folie.
In Tilburg I have marked out the following in order of preference; Toermalijin, De Muze, Shiva, The Grass Company, Crackers.
On this trip I will be concerned with two aspects of coffeeshops; Gear and Atmosphere. Any advice on the best coffeeshops to sit and chill aswell as purchase in either Eindhoven or Tilburg would be appreciated. Any top spots that I have missed out on?
I am also interested in any advice of what hashes are good.
Some nice places to eat in either Tilburg or Eindhoven would be great too.

Short trip to Eindhoven & Tilburg

Hey man me and a friend went to the dam last year via Eindhoven from Ireland.The first and last day of our five day trip was spent exploring Eindhoven.Your list looks a lot like the info we had.However the pink was shut while we were there for having excess drugs?You may want to check if open now.
Apart from that we visited
Grasshopper:
Good quality hasj and bud (most noticably orange bud which was cheap).Weed all came in pre weighted bags here.Ok not very chill place.
Euro-garden:
Nicer atmosphere further out from the centre but worth the trip got some nice amnesia haze here I think not sure.Also bought some cristal hasj which later in the trip I noticed looked identical to greenhouses king hassan.Was cheaper but cant remember how much.Nice budtenders here and decent value.I liked it
New wave:
Was recently re-opened and refurbished when we went there had a lovely glass fronted bright smoking area.Pre bagged weed and hasj was of good quality and budtenders friendly.Ok to chill in.
The bakkerij:
We didnt stop in here no reason were just pushed for time.Got nice silver haze here (i think).Friend purchased dome good hasj here.Would have chilled here was jus tight for time
Only those places I visited sorry!To be honest I liked everywhere better than the grasshopper vibe was however all the weed we bought was of a good quality.intended to do the tilburg jaunt also but never made it.Also dont know how you are for spends but it was only around 26 euro return to amsterdam from there.Jus saying as its only 90 mins away and worked out cheaper for us than flying in to amsterdam.

Hello Colinzeal, hope all the replies here are not to late. However, enjoy your time in Eindhoven(I go there regulary).
I tend to smoke a bit more hash but like good weed, too.
They store Nepal(12€/bag)as well and I found it good, when not overwhelming as most of the hashes from Nepal these days(Note: except for the one from Stix and some from Bluebird in Amsterdam last year. Additionally I have to say that The Pink in Eindhoven offers two sorts of it now - but I haven't tried them yet. All in all in my experience morrocan hash provides a lot better punch.)
With weed you can't really go wrong there but - in my opinion - stay away from the flavoured strains(apple e.g.). I like their version of Amnesia Haze the most and recently their K2 was also lovely.
Tend to be a buy&fly kind of place, modern and bright atmosphere. Internet for free.
Upstairs I haven't been for a while and bought Jack Herrer(6€/bag - indica feeling)which was good.
New Wave I had White Pearl(arround 8€/bag - indica feeling)which was a bit too wet but got a nice effect. A nice place to relax in my opinion, decent staff.
At Eurogarden you should try Super Silver Haze(8€/bag), good example of this strain. Their Amnesia Haze(8,50€/bag)wasn't impressing me, it was still good but missed something.
Hash: their Cristal(9€ I guess)is good but Grasshopper's hash is better, their Ice-o-lator(10€/bag)lacked a punch in my opinion.
Their chocomel with whipped cream and the staff is nevertheless nice
(they also provide free internet)
Sindbad is a little neighborhood coffeeshop, nice interior. Not that much traffic when I have been there once. Locals come and go. Pretty limited menu(but not as limited as the Casablanca coffeeshop By the way: not worth going there as I have been recently). I went for a weed called Sudden Death which was nice nevertheless. But they don't even have a haze listed.
I would suggest you to go to the Indian instead. Similar interior and a better atmosphere in my opinion. About 15 minutes walk from the Grasshopper. Try their Super Silver Haze(12€/g, weighed) or Amnesia Haze(11,50€/g, weighed - nice version of this strain). Sometimes they carry a house haze for 11€/g but I couldn't catch it until now. Their hash I haven't tried either.
When it comes to hash I have to recommend The Wall(Dirty Uncle Ron already mentioned this shop. Thanks

Please try their Cristal Royal as it's one of the best hashes available in the Netherlands. Highend morrocan hash, easily on par with the top notch hashes I bought in Amsterdam last year(very uplifting high). 10€/g.
Their Hija-Hija for 8€/g is the best hash(second for that price is Twizla from Grasshopper) for that price in Eindhoven(a bit more on the indica side).
But they offer good weed as well(in general this shop also belongs to the best in town): tried some of their hazes and liked them.
They weigh all in front of you(I only mention this don't have a problem with pre-packed bags as long as everything is fresh and good. Nevertheless I will always have a look.). It's a little walk of twenty minutes from the station as it lies in the very north of Eindhoven. But well worth the way and time. Note: their interior is pretty basic so I only buy and leave.
One name forgotten to mention is also The Snooker(guess why it's called that way). Lovely neighborhood-coffeeshop. This is my shop for atmosphere(not dark, clean and a lot of friendly locals). Their stuff is nevertheless good but not outstanding. Solid(had their White Widow and Silver Pearl and one type of hash which name escapes me now).
I would suggest to smoke your stuff there and buy something from the menu. Try it.
The Pink coffeeshop is also a nice place to sit in. Can't mention this enough: I regret their limited menu since the raid and closure of last year. They offer the strongest ice-o-lator Bubble Ice(15€/0,85g, indica feeling). Their White Widow XX was nice, too.
Hope I didn't forget something. Please consider that all menus in Eindhoven "only" provide standard strains like White Widow, Northern Lights etc. and in general one type of haze. In opposite to Amsterdam where you can find "newer" strains.
Check also The Rif coffeeshop only a few doors next to Toermalijn. Their best hash looked good(arab shop, mostly visited by middle eastern people) - only went in and talked to the very polite budtender, not a very inviting place though.
Crackers I visited also. Very oldschool in my opinion(if you go you know what I mean), liked it immedeately but had no time to buy or stay.
Can't say anything about eating in Eindhoven or Tilburg but I know Grass Company(one of the biggest coffeeshops I have ever seen. All in all pretty professional as it seems - no offence intended.)
Before I forget this: La Folie and De Bakkerij(moved some doors)in Eindhoven are okay to hang out, indeed.

Have been in Tilburg some time ago. Yes, Toermalijn is good for choice and atmosphere, De Muze for quality(their Super Silver Haze was nice.
