2 grammes free on arrival? Silly question then to ask whether it is 'smoker friendly' then?

Booked in at the Old Quarter in Warmoesstraat.

I have stayed there twice before and really enjoyed it; reasonable price, great location, good breakfast and nice staff.

My friend and I are staying at the Hotel Acro close to Vondelpark. I've never heard anyone mention this hotel, but the majority of the reviews were positive. :?

Sarphati Park Hotel. It looks OK on the 'net and its next to a nice park for a morning stroll if the weathers good. Which of course it will be. The sun always shines on the righteous my Mum says.

thanks for the heads up, gixxer! I now realize I didn't put as much thought into hotel selection as I should've; I just went with the first reputable hotel I saw on tripadvisor.com. I can't wait!!

I will be staying a bit of a way out from the centre this time, near the Sarphatipark. I found on the web this Bohemian couple who rent out a few private rooms (smoker friendly) in their own house. Saw some reviews about them on Google and all are good. They are charging me 205 euros for a private room for 7 nights. The hotel I normally use, who charged me 650 euros for 10 nights when I stayed there in Feb 2010, wanted 1300 odd euros for this trip! So that leaves me a nice bit of doshla for weed and munchies.

Maybe I'll rent a bike, but I'm not so sure at my age, and I'm bound to loose it in my stoned state. Still, there's the trams and walking with a bit of Niel Young playing in my head.

Been using this site for info for a few years now and am really glad that last week I finally became a member. As a lone traveller (traded in her in doors a few years ago for freedom), it can be difficult meeting up with people. So really looking forward to meeting some of you at the 420 bash etc.
