I don't think anyone doubts the atmosphere of NFL/College games are good. In fact, it's like football was years ago, a family occasion.

i agree. nfl is a bit more family frendly than college football i think though. the rivalries are a bit more...heated. a u of texas fan went into a pub i oklahoma wearing his ut colors. ended up brawling and literally getting his beans ripped off or something.

still not as heated as some european rivalries. heard some fenerbache fans kidnapped a gala fan, raped him and left him in a grave yard.

coach of my fave team(aside from uw)..ohio state university has a huge rivalry with university of michigan. they HATE eachother. both stadiums are filled to 100k+ each time they play eachother. anyway on to the story.

legendary ohio state coach woody hayes car broke down 2 miles from the ohio border while he was driving back. rather than call a tow truck he pushed his car 2 miles or so into ohio so the state of michigan couldn't profit from his misfortune. asked my dads friend who played tight end for osu under woody hayes and he confirmed the story.

dallas vs wash dc is the biggest i'd say.

our local one is uw vs wsu or uw vs u of oregon. hate oregon fans.
