De Pijp tour
De Pijp tour
I will be in Amsterdam from the 23 to the 26 of february and I'd like to know from your experience which coffeeshops you recommend among Katsu,Club Media,Carmona,Yo-Yo,De Graal,Papillion and so on,and in particular which strains. I've been to katsu so I know the strains of this cs,but I don't know anything about the others. Thank you in advance

I'm not going to recommend any strains for you, I'll leave you're nose to do that work, batches differ, and peoples taste in strains are diverse.Colino wrote:I will be in Amsterdam from the 23 to the 26 of february and I'd like to know from your experience which coffeeshops you recommend among Katsu,Club Media,Carmona,Yo-Yo,De Graal,Papillion and so on,and in particular which strains. Club Media is a very cool shop. Large, ample seating, pooltable, smoking room. I've only ever bought good stuff from there also.
Papillion is perhaps my favourite shop in the south. I have never bought herb from there, but the hash i've purchased has been outstanding. Very comfy seating, bright and clean shop. Friendly and welcoming too.
DeGraal is another shop with great seating, and thanks to the large windows, its very bright inside too. Again, I only bought Hash, but it was mighty fine hash
Yoyo is something different entirely. In a good way though! Bright and very roomy, cool artwork on the walls aswell. There menu consists entirely of outdoor, or Greenhouse grown herb. Organic too I believe.
Kabouter is a ery quirky shop, where I bought one of my all time favourite Hazes. It has a very small tobacco smoking room right at the front window, the rest of the shop is pure only. I think they had a pool table too. A whole bunch of Gnomes adorn he front window, some of which, are in some quite erotic poses
Pacific is a little more, er, grimey
Carmona is, again, quite a big shop inside, Lots of Internet terminals. A menu that offered superb value ( if a lttle limited ) I found the staff to be friendy enough. The locals were predominatly(sp) Moroccan, but were very friendly to me.
This is all My Opinion, make of it what you will, and I hope you have a good time in De Pijp.
Endure

There are places like Ibiza, DeKeeper, D&L and also Greenhouse Tollstraat, that I aint been in yet too.cisco wrote:I am looking forward to the 420 Pijp crawl even more now ! nice summary there Twich !
With the exception of the greehouse, I want to hit all the shops down there.
The only thing I am unsure of, is good places to grab a bite to eat in DePijp. No doubt, we will need to have a break at some point, to eat, refuel if you will.
Im not to worried though, I may just eat space cake for the whole day!
Infact, I think yoyo doeas fresh apple pie and shit! We may not need to go anywhere else other than coffeeshops after all
Endure
Lol i went in there in 2008 because i hadn't a clue where i was and the bloke (there was only one customer in there)looked at me like i'd just beamed down from the enterprise or something...he just pointed me in the direction of the tram stop off albert cup and went back to his beer....just remembered that nowdarkglobe wrote:/\i normally call in to the bar on the corner of the road to Katsu and the market around lunchtime,...have a cheese toastie and a couple of beers then continue the crawl ...getting to YOYO later on for Apple Pie.../\

Yeah, I noticed a few folks had asked in my trip report, but once I have finished typing up my report, I just lik to let it fade into the ether, rather than bumping it constantly.Panog wrote:Hey mate I saw you bought some of this white gold stuff @ de graal, and I felt in love with it after seeing its picture. Could you tell me about the effects of this stuff ? Mostly stony ?
The other reason I didn't give a smoke report on it, was because I only remember the sweet, floral taste. I was way too mashed to feel the effects.
I think it was perhaps the first or second spliff Paulie Wallnuts smoked after arriving in Amsterdam. Maybe he will be able to give you a better Idea of the effects. Sorry Panog, I wasn't ignoring you're enquiry, I just dont like posting in my trip report threads, when they are finished.

First time trip, damn I envy you. I'll never have that feeling againPanog wrote:No prob m8, its just that I'll be in town on friday for my first solo trip, and I dont wanna be surprised by the stuff I'll have to smoke ^^
I'd say, to anyone who has smoked pot before, that polm's will never fuck you up. It's just the nature of Polm, the buzz it gives you is not an Indica one. Its a mellow, functional buzz. I'm sure you will not be surprised, and that you will enjoy it. It certainly tastes superb.
