planning on possibly taking my friend joe with me on my next trip. but dudes hair grows extremely fast and he wanted me to ask if there were any good barber shops in london or amsterdam. dunno if you have them there but over here a barber shop is a bare bones hair salon. nothing fancy. he just wants a place to get a quick trim/line up and maybe a shave.

I think I saw somewhere they have places to get your hair cut at or around the Albert Cuuyp (sp?) market in amsterdam.
Edit:
"Behind the Albert Cuyp street there are other shops with good deals on computers, pets, furniture, haircuts, and more. " -

Look for a place called a Kapper or perhaps a Kapsalon (but that is more for women). If you have short hair like me, the further you go from the center the cheaper and better it is. I often keep my hair short and so do the Moroccans so I look for their shops.
de Pijp should be a good place to look for one. I would send you to my guy but he is way out of the center.

Remided me of the line from Hair " you don't have to cut it ...it will stop by it's self"
