I've got organic Trainwreck that definitely tastes of coffee on the exhale.

I have seen bars of has in coffee wrappers so could be a plausible theory!

The coffee smell/taste is a kush trait.

Really? I've not heard this from anyone until this thread. If you go over to marijuanareviews.com and search the countless OG and Kush related reviews you won't find anyone mentioning a coffee smell. Real OG is almost always described as having a pine/fuel scent. The problem with OG is that it's the most bastardized strain on earth and so many people slap the OG label on stuff they know isn't the real deal just to make more money. When people say they have OG I'm often skeptical because of this. There also seems to be a broad general consensus amongst people from Cali that The OG sold in Amsterdam isn't the real deal. If Amsterdam doesn't have the genuine article something tells me there's a good chance this coffee smelling stuff from the UK might just be another imposter.

Yeah the coffee thing is new to me. The only kush I've ever had (stateside) smelled just like the Cheese I've had in Amsterdam. The Cheese I see here is more skunky.

I think because everyone's taste buds are differant 2 people could hit the same herb and get differant flavours.

Seems like it might be a possibility that this Bubba Kush coffee pheno is being sold as OG. The fact that your search didn't turn up any OG might be further proof of fraudulence. I guess all we can really do is speculate.

wshoWHOAWHOA- IT DoESN'T TASTE LIKE COFFEE- JUST A oops caps- slight background smell. I actually think all good weed has this smell. I often get a whiff when I walk past a starbuck's or nero's and get excited for a second before i realise it's just the smell of coffee. the og kush i had was in 'dam and was extremely, extremely good. I've also noticed the coffee 'background' smell from purple kush from AMS and Canada. it's probably subjetc to interpretation. I certainly wouldn't want a coffee-tasting weed either!

Yup. I'd say Kush has a more citrus/fuel thing, but sweeter than Chem/Dawg.

wow, I think people are getting too caught up in the 'coffee' taste... The taste reminded me of coffee, it didn't pang of the stuff!!! If anyone has tried The Doctor you will know that it has a sweet sugar puffs like taste to it. The Cheese Kush had this but it was bordering more on a sweet coffee flavour. It was very unique.
I've never had OG Kush that tastes like this. OG has a fresh taste to it, well the Cali stuff does, the examples in Dam that I have tried including Green Place etc are not proper OG. If they are, they are not good examples imo. Holland still has a lot of catching up to do on the Kush front.
