High Grade Jamaican (sess)

Looking at the pictures and (until recently) having very little previous contact/knowledge of sess, i wouldn't be surprised if 99/100 people that viewed this picture dismissed it as brick weed.

Thankfully this couldn't be further from the truth.

This stuff supposedly arrives in the country in huge (but very flat) discs in the bottom of oil drums, hence the shape of a big piece (circular).

Once broken up the inside is very resinous and gives off a kind of spicy smell, very very different to weed, this is not a strong smell at all, but slightly intrigueing.

I have smoked this but i will update this post later and give a full report after i've done my wake and bake and smoked a full one to myself. It's hard to explain the high because i was already stoned when i tried it.

Just wanted to get the hard part of uploading photos/etc out the way...smoke report coming later.

Its amber crystal city when looked at under a scope.
I get it for £15 for 1.7g or £30 for 8th. but you dont get many zoots. nice sweet flav. The lightest green ones seem slightly stronger and the darker more oliy ones taste better - one nicknamed mince pie grade as it tastes of rich soaked fruit cake. High is more sativa than the crap mersh or 'thai.' But still not very strong. One of my mates swears by it, i prefer pungent punk.

Looks lovely. Reminds me of the Jamaican I would come across from time to time in the mid 80's.

Wanted a change so went and got some Jamician High Grade from anyday coffeeshop - 33euro is for 5 grams

Wouldn't quite compare it to top-end sess in the UK, but definately very tasty, very sweet smell, very happy sativa high - looking forward to smoking this tomorrow as a wake and bake.

I'm not expert on ja weed - anyone else tried anyday's highgrade (not their cheap jamician)?? How does this compare with Katsu's Super Ja?

Cheers

..nice one chaps, from all of our postings over the last few months it looks like this could be a real sighting of real hi grade in dam, YIPPEE!! I think this is the first confirmed incident for ages- as stated before the Katsu Super jamaican was in fact a good quality Thai, certainly was miles off this sort of hi grade in look and smell etc..nice enough but not this sort of gear - second time anyday is coming up as a good spot in a few days...:)

I'm also surprised that there aren't other Jamaican bits over in dam, such as lambsbread. Even the dispensaries stock bob marley's lambsbread etc in Cali.

good to see some fellow high grade fans!

Anyday high grade is OK, not very strong at all though.
Sweet sweet taste, very similar to what Pengdalino descirbed as 'mince pie grade'!

I get 3/4 spliffs from a gram of indoor.... This stuff is so sticky u get 2 spliffs max. Given it's price tag of 7.80 per gram it aint cheap.

In fact I only have about 2gs left, very loose/bitty, the pic wouldn't really do it justice - next time i get some I will post it up.

All in all, 7/10 good daytime smoke - i smoke everyday so its a nice alternative. Would love to find some good sess/high grade over here, im on a mission!

interesting!
is the lambsread in cali indoor grown - if so surely it can't be the real deal??? I can't imagine it being grown outdoors for the full 7 months... if so it would cost a fortune compared to indoor......

have a look at this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10CrPuPFn4s

stumbled across it, good sales pitch but very interesting - think it might sum up what we high-grade heads are searching for!

Yeah that's interesting, jamaican farmers being forced to grow dutch strains in order to get away with it.

How close this is to the actual lambs bread, i'm dubious...but it did get a good review so must be good.

I was told that seeds are fed to a baby lamb and that the 'keeper' seeds will be the ones that are still intact after passing through the lamb. Hence the name!

I love this tale from True Playa, true or not, belongs in the scrapbook of dope tales
many thanks mate for sharing....

handing a good story back to you all, once I knew an afro caribean guy who had for years been teased by his really quite scary Jamaican old-timer dealer in his 60's in London about a legendary type of lambsbread/sensi (think it was called Redbeard), the highest type that was like golddust, revered amongst the rastas etc and always in very short supply in JA, never mind it ever getting to the UK..anyway one day apparently he was summoned to this huge dreadlocked mans pad as it was finally time to try this stuff of legend....they supposedly shared the one spliff between them, and next thing my friend knew was that 3 hours had passed and he was being nudged, it was time to go home...says it all really, again no idea how accurate his story was but I love this idea of having a few tokes of this very special weed and then suddenly time has passed, ah, wish I had some of that, think thats what opium is supposed to feel like..never succeeded in getting a decent hit off any I tried in SE asia..
