Ok so ive finally rested enough to put up a bit of a report. Ill keep it fairly simple and try and make it a worth while read but meh... I can't remember exactly what bud we bought where so ill state where im not sure. Also note that this is my personal opinion of the shops, some my friend liked i didn't and vice versa, so if your heading out there don't avoid them go in, get a feel for the place.I can guarantee you will find your own opinion to differ from mine.

If its popular belief the bud is crap in a place don't buy any, even if they stuff a menu in your face. If they can't stock a higher quality of bud its not your problem, many other CS's can and do. There is more than variety out there. So again its likely my opinion of bud may not be to your taste. But just for the record overall I like a heavy couch locking smoke from a nice quality crispy well cured green, rolled in a joint with a healthy girth and large roach that gives you a smooth but firm toke.

We arrived nice and early and already slightly dead from the early morning flight, a return ticket from jet2 leeds bradford at a cost of £49.99 each, a quick walk from the Gate and were standing on a platform trying to find the next train to Central Station. With the priority of the morning to stock up for the day making way from the North East to East side of town eventually ending up in the Winstons on the Warmoesstraat

Its 10:02, its cold, my bag is heavy and im tired. Its still cold, We head off from central station with a slight dusting of snow by our feet and the occasional flake in our eyes. Our first target was Central Coffeeshop, but first we needed to stock up. Standing in-front of a pack of 3 Euro OCB X-Perts and a 5 Euro grinder my wallet jumped in my pocket with a knowledge of the impending doom about to ensue.

All stocked up sat in the front window of Central Coffeeshop with a Coffee in one hand, a rolled joint of Silver Haze in the other looking across at a very very wide smile on my companions face... thats the way to spend a Tuesday morning. The bud was tasty and had a thick smoke to it, the best of the high was short lasting but very mellowing. Id recommend Silver Haze as a daytime light smoke. After finishing our drinks we left and continued the short circuit to Winstons.

The next Coffeeshop, about 30 paces from CS, was more of an anti feng shui room, I don't know the name of it but its small and doesn't sell green. I didn't finish my can of pop before leaving put it that way.

Its 12:30, we continued on the short circuit we had to complete to end up on the Warmoesstraat. The next CS was the Jolly Joker, as soon as we went in we were greeted by the barman with a nice warm hello and a short simple but well stocked menu. We purchased some Cheese and some Haze but I can't remember the name, something like xantia haze. The Cheese I saved until later in the day but the haze was very nice, not too heavy. We had a couple of joints of the Silver Haze purchased earlier and of the other haze. Again after a couple more empty bottoms we were on our way.

We dropped into the Bulldog Energy CS as it was between us and the hotel. We stayed in long enough to finish our drinks and headed out. Why such a short stay? I was asked to move from my seat by a trampy looking guy who said he owned the place. The barman didn't serve me until he'd finished reading what he was reading; well do it again and again more and more people will also never come back. It only bugged me because it was for AGES. The weed menu is renowned to be bullshit and after the crap from the barman and said owner I didn't even look at it. We smoked another Northern Lights from CS and disappeared.

We headed to the winstons to drop off our bags and see where we'd end up next. After quickly checking out our room we noticed there was no TV set, I love TV sets. A view of the red-light districts finest alleys sat behind the curtains to make up for it though. We decided to aim for the west side of town, the first stop being Abraxxas, but after setting off from Winstons we saw HSB and had to call in!

We didn't stop long as it was quite busy but all i need to say about HSB is that its a must on my trip list.

Eventually we arrived at Abraxxas, I had a good old scout over the weed menu and purchased a bud ive never heard of called John Sinclair. It was 13 Euros for a .9 if iirc. It wasn't bad bud but I could have got a heavier weight for the same price. It wasn't a very strong smoke id say it was similar to NYC Diesel.

If you visit Abraxxas get a Choccochino, seriously. Also they have two computers that suck at the internet but will let you check your mail, eventually. We visited Abraxxas a few times, its a nice place and you can smoke whilst at the PC's but it was always busy. The weed menu is healthy and I know we had at least 3 different bags from there but I can't remember them all.

Once we had filled our lungs and emptied our bladders we headed out again. We aimed from Grey Area and were presented with Rockland, after finding Grey Area to be closed @#?$. I hate walking.

Rockland isn't that bad, but if im saying that then it can't be that good. The stools hurt your back, the weed menu I can't even remember and the music was... football. We were the only people in there so that didn't help the atmosphere.

We left Rockland and went to Night Bar the Bottle, they don't sell but you can smoke and we had a quick drink and toke. Nice little bar and would call in again but i don't drink whilst toking so a coke is a coke and a coffee is a coffee for me.

A quick hop next door to De Kuil (420 Cafe) and as I pressed the two part mini door open I had a flashback to the last hour of my previous dam trip; I was very stoned and had eaten a few cakes a bit too early before the train ride. We headed into a random alley on the way to Central Station and found a little CS with a nice lit up bar, a wasted cat and most importantly good weed. Ever since that last day ive sat in deep thought trying to remember where this place was and what it was called and now months and months later i stand in its doorstep...

We sat at the bar, got settled in and headed straight for the bud menu. Although it was midnight and we were pretty much destroyed from the days antics and Jolly Jokers Cheese. We both bought bud each time we visited this place and we both had vowed not to buy the same as each other or the same twice unless it was very special but I can't remember them all, i know i had blueberry. But anyway this is my CS of the whole trip, and if you decide to go try not to hit the cat. I saw so many people nearly knock the little bugger off his bar stool because he blends in so well.

More to follow...

Yea we went in..... lol

The rockland and bulldog were crap, out of those the ones I would visit again and again are;

Central CS
The Jolly Joker
Abraxxas
420 Cafe
Rockerij
Basjoe
Dampkring

Not that the others were rubbish but these stood out from the rest. The worst place we went was the grasshopper.

Nice pics, bud. I see that you're standing outside of Coffeeshop 137 in one of them. That particular shop has always intrigued me simply due to the fact that it is extraordinarily nondescript. I mean they actually need to hang a sign outside like 'Cannabis sold here' just to get someone to notice their existence.

Of course, this is perfectly understandable if they intend to attract a locals-only clientele...which intrigues me even more.

Anyway, did you go inside? What was it like? Did you smoke any gear?

Best: Mexican Haze (Dampkring) - By far not the strongest or the tastiest but the high was really mellow, didn't knock me out and had me feeling nice and giggly. Was the perfect smoke to have before the cinema.

Worst: Kali Mist (Grasshopper) - Very expensive iirc 25 a gram, there wasn't a menu so we couldn't check the list just a few boxes shelved up. It looked like it had been grown under a mag-lite. Lots of stems, poor bud. I couldn't tell but the soft buds and lack of coloring suggest it may have been from a hermaphrodite plant.

But the best in my terms and your terms may be different, most of the smoke we had was great. The most consistent place to provide us with high quality smoke was 420 and Basjoe. Each visit made me happy :). The Central Coffeeshop near central station gave me a nice draw of Silver Haze, but the northern my friend tried wasn't amazing.

I would go with the latter, it was quiet and the only other people in there were locals who were in and out chatting with the barman. It was quite uncomfortable as the tables are barely 4 inches from the floor and seat backs were at a 90o angle. But it was clean, tranquil and I wouldn't avoid it for a daytime toke.

Your description just serves to sharpen my curiosity. It really seems like a place that caters strictly to locals on a buy 'n fly basis. Was the gear particularly cheap at least? Thanks for the info.

Thanks, I enjoy seeing faces, really stoned faces. Sitting here in the land of prohibition I do not get that to often enough.
