Forgetting about Homegrown Fantasy

Getting a morning flight back

Not getting any Black Widow (this is the biggest regret of all)

1-I regret Buying a Gram of the Terminator
2- I regret spending 400euro in RLD on same girl
3- I regret no talking the offer from these two dutch girls i met
4- I regret bringing my GF to AMD wit me
5- I regret being to high to take the 2 girls offer
6- I regret thinking of the fun i could of add wit them
7- I regret not taking the train from Rotterdam and biking back (lost a full day)
8- I regret not taking pictures or them 2 girls
9- I so regret leaving them all wet and dry wanting me

Some might say 'I have no regrets' but I never believe that from anyone and always decode it as meaning 'I don't want to share my regrets with you' which is fair enough IMHO.

One of my friends takes notes on his cell phone as he goes through his Amsterdam trips so he can remember and dwell upon the good times.

I regret not doing something like that or similar as I really have some large gaping holes in my memory of quite a few trips to Amsterdam.

I regret not taking my camera on my last visit as it was really pretty with all the snow and ice and I most likely will never be back in the dam at that time of year ever again as the cold was just bitter.

I regret not using Priceline bidding to book my hotel every visit and I really regret some of the over priced excuses for hotels I've stayed in as a result.

I regret not spending more time in other parts of Amsterdam besides Centrum.

Luckily seeing as I have a trip coming up I can put some of the above wrongs right and regret less in the future.

Forgeting to pick up my plug converter before leaving the house, my pens and old notebook (All log in details for internet in).

Not bringing more than the 15gs i walked through customs with.

I recently went to amsterdam and don't get me wrong had an amazing time.
The first regret was setting up a toke and talk in BasJoe's going there for the right time if not early, getting totally smashed and not being able to comunicate with anyone.
There was supposed to be 2 scouse girls coming to the talk and i'm pretty sure they turned up and the thing that made this worse was that they were very attractive which did not help at all with my confidence of approaching people.

With that out the way my only other regret was that i did not take notes so when trying to type my report up i got one day done then posted it and then started on the second day which i finished went to post and the site said i was logged out, so with much frustration typed it again and the same thing happened which was the end for me and have not finished my report, if anyone wants to see the first day it is called ZigZags birthday smoke up or something like that.

Anyway would be good to hear someother stories and hope that mine is not as bad as it feels

Oh dear! FEEDBACK, NOT FAILURE!!

I didn't take notes for my first trip report...I didn't know I was going to write one! I think I got pretty far into it before I forgot the rest of it!!! This past year, I brought the notebooks...but you have to REMEMBER TO TAKE THEM OUT AND USE THEM!!! (I also suggest having LOTS of writing implements, as people steal pens!! )

Read other people's trip reports from the same time...you can see what the weather was like, if you forgot to note it, like I did...(Thanks, Balou!)

Also...make sure your date and time is correct on your camera...it really helps jog the memory for that particular day...some things in my pics are not in my notes...

I do make notes of what I'll do differently next year...like note the weather every day!
