I've had my volcano classic for almost 2 years. recently the thick rubber band that goes over the metal bit inside the valve on the bag side snapped. can these be replaced or do i need to buy another solid valve kit? i can try and provide a pic if no one knows what i mean.

You would probably have to buy another kit, I don't recall getting any spare rubber bands with mine. Just make sure it has all the one you need and you should be fine, sorry I couldn't be more help.

I ordered this:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volcano-Vaporizer ... 2ea79dbcc0

of this seller on ebay and it arrived quickly and no problems. It includes 3 of the O rings you want. If you want some thing cheaper, they just do the O ring set too :-

Personally, I wanted spare bags too so the first one suited me..

i found it best to take it all apart and clean it every time i changed the bag that way u avoid having o-rings snap like that but it is eventually going to happen cuz the o-ring will dry out.
Like O.S.O. had stated their are a few sites that offer the o-ring kit and the replacement screen kit.
I know this wont pertain to many other people but I used to work on heavy machinery that use hydraulic systems and I was actually able to find a couple of the replacement o-rings in the kits we use for work.

Hey cantona7

I'll give you the best advice I've heard / implemented since I first used a Volcano. I've been using the classic for about 4 years now and I've used other vapes, digital volcano, easy valve, etc.

The trick, as SRH_Spaded mentioned, is to clean the entire thing often. I take apart the chamber and the mouth piece parts so you end up with about 10-12 pieces.

Here's the BEST, absolutely BEST way to clean a volcano:

Denture Cleaners

That's right. Go to a store, buy denture cleaning tabs. They are extremely cheap (I get about 100 for about $4). If you can, get the "Smokers" version of the cleaner.

Get very hot water (near or at boiling) and put all the parts into a container that can withstand heat. Put 2 tablets in the container, pour the hot water. Let the parts sit in the denture cleaner overnight. In the morning, take it out, rinse it, use a scrub or your hands to take off any remaining layer of resin on the parts .

If you do this, the parts will look brand spankin new. I've been doing this and my parts really look near perfect.

In terms of where to get the parts, don't order it from Storz-Bickel. Instead, google 3rd party sites. You can find that replacement O-ring for a few bucks.

Cheers
