Rome

Post by Sir Niall of Essex-sire »

Booked a holiday with the miss's to this wonderful city. I have strangely never been there before, it's kind of gone under the radar for some reason.

Any experiences/tips for a first timer? I'm staying near the Vatican.

avoid the cab drivers esp outside the train station. eat as much as possible! eat gilatto for desert. theres so much to see in that city that i cant suggest one thing. get at me inpm and i can probably think of some more sites and things to see. if you get time take a train to napoli and see pompay or sorrento (i think its around there) but above all take a boat to capri esp if the weather is decent/good. gorgeous island. get a few bottles of limoncello while your there. its good if you like lemon liquer and makes a good souvenir.

was there in november with the misses.obviously the vatican,st peters and the vatican museum where u see the sistine chapel.use the metro and yes avoid the taxi drivers at all cost rip off.hit the pantheon downtown great building and then the forum and colloseum down in the centre of town near the piazza venezia.oh thers the trevi fountain which is nice on a sunny day with an ice cream bought rite there.beautiful city endless things to see and had no problems with pickpockets...but that can happen in any city if u look dumb enough lol enjoy but ill be in amsterdam in 22 days ye fucking ha without the misses lolol
