5 days is plenty time to read a few trip reports

Hunters has reviews as late as 1PM today , not exactly 2 years out of date, but granted, they are a few hours out of date....

I'll be staying right around the corner from you

Find Sheeba on the map:

A lot of great CF's next to you. I like Baba's (nice atmosphere and vaporizers), Greenhouse Effect, Hill Street Blues, and Homegrown Fantasy isn't bad.

You are, however, not that far from the shops directly W / SW of the train station. It would be about a 5-10 minute walk but you'd get to shops like Barney's, Greenhouse, Hunter's, etc.

I agree that some reports on shops are old but just think , you can be the 1 to bring us all up to date :)

Hunters is a must for me on my trip also .
Sending out the good vibes to those that need them right now :-)

For Hunter's, the general manager often surfs these forums. If you have questions or concerns, he's able to answer them and make sure you have a good coffee shop experience, so I agree with all on this thread that stated that stop is a must.

Don"t just jump into every single shop you stumble upon..there are decent shops and there are crappy tourist shops...
Barney is quite pricey IMO,same as Amnesia which is now part of Barny"s chain. As for quality i will say that you can get same and better gear for better prices else wear .Same for Arijans Greenhouses..Too much ego in whole stuff for mine taste. Also gear is average.Nothing special.Only thing that i have bought at GH and was really impressed was King Hassan. And that was just one batch.Other ones were nice but not special.
Never been to Huters, but have heard good stuff about them.Same for Green Place at Niuwemarkt, looks like they are selling quality.Check them, that is like 8min from your hotel.
Also you might go to Homegrown Fantasy,Caffe 420(De Kuil),2de Kamer or Dampkring(which is same)...there are also other shops but they are not so close to your hotel and as first timer you would most likely have trouble finding them.It is easy to get lost in a Dam when baked
