I just went onto the chequecentre website and found that the Euro has plummeted down to 1.06 for a pound
Last week it was at 1.12 and I put off buying them then thinking that it wouldnt move too much.
Anyone know whats going on at the moment thats causing this and if it's likely to have as big a move back up in the next week?

It's plummetted because of the threat of a hung parliment, it's been on the news most of today, we're thinking of buying some now as it's got a good chance of dropping even more.

.

Quick guys it may be worse than you expected, the euro has now bounced 'cos they think the Greeks are getting their stuff together.
What a long strange trip it is.

Boner is right.
The mkt is starting to price in the possibility of a Labour victory or hung parliement = no budget cuts.
also, traders worry that if Pru wants to acquire AIA, then they will need to sell sterling to fund the deal.

Around 1.09 at the moment, was up to 1.12 last week at one point.
I used CentreGold before and the rate was better, but haven't used this for quite some time, may be worth checking out though.
Pray its gonna go up, f...ing rate been shite for years now, not like when it first came out, was getting 1.28+.

It's having the opposite effect here.
I paid $811can for 500euro last Dec. and can now get the same 500euro for $706can. It is a good time for us to book hotels/apartments.
