Surely coffeeshop etiquette is the same that you would have in any bar/ pub/ conventional coffeshop (the type that just serves coffee )

I think that if you're looking for something, you'll find it. You won't notice the other hundred Americans you saw, but the loud guy, he's "every American/French/English man". Whatever it is, there it will be. As intelligent people, we need to realize that the nasty stereotype is actually the minority. We are not our governments. We are individual people. I spent 3 weeks in Europe last fall and went in very conscious of the impression I was making, not only of myself but for Americans everywhere. Having heard that some people might have a problem with me only because I'm American kept me on my toes at first. Because I'm not the stereotype, and I didn't come upon anyone who assumed I would be, regardless of my actions, I didn't have a problem.

On topic, the one time I shared a table was at Grey Area. Was there before they opened, and had a conversation with a Scottish couple. As they opened the doors, he suggested we share a table. I shared some silver bubble in one of their glass bongs while he shared a joint of yellow cab. I spent about 20 minutes, then excused myself to meet up with my wife.

From geographic discrimination to coffeeshop etiquette, help a newbie out. How long have you guys sat in the same coffeeshop for one time? I'm one of those lazyass stoners who can't get their ass up easily, so I was thinking is it rude just to sit in one place for like 1-3 hours if I'm having fun and buying drinks while smoking?

For that US vs UK crap, I've met assholios from both sides, every nation has it's own retards, but most of the people have been more than nice. If we're all in Amsterdam 'cos of one single cause, shouldn't that unite us a bit more? Just as in hockey people have their favorite teams, but we all cheer for the same sport.

I really don't mind if you're from Liberia, Sudan, USA, UK or Germany. If you're young, I guess you are supposed to be a bit loud and dumb, it'll get better year by year

Btw, when I'm at Adamster, I'd be more than happy to T&T with some americans, I got so much things to ask and talk about, feel free to visit me.

The longest I've sat in a coffeeshop (de Kuil) was prolly around 4 -5 hours. As long as yer buying drinks, no one will hassle you. I've never felt resented for staying too long in a c/s, but YMMV.
