Possibly because every comment i make regarding America, or sometimes regarding padding, is jumped on by the recent American members as being Anti-Americans.

Growing up the city kids hated the kids from the suburbs, whites hate the blacks, mexicans, etc. because they never actually hung out or interacted with each other.

Your statement made it seem like all Europeans hate Americans that's all. It's funny people love us when we come and save there asses(French, English, WW2) but hate us at the same time. Weird.

Ok, I was going to stay out of this and for the most part I have. I guess what I meant to say was would it be improper to ask if I could sit down as opposed to coming out and just asking? I have manners. I mean here in Portland, if you went into a coffee shop (here they just serve coffee!) and a table was occupied, generally speaking most people would just assume the people at the table wouldn't want to be bothered and wouldn't even ask. So my bad.

Second, I'll be more than glad to accept the blame for the negative tone this thread has taken on. Yes, perhaps I overreacted to what joeuk said way, way back, but sometimes when someone I don't even know talks, what I infer as shit to me, I tend to take it to heart and go off. So, as I've said, I'm willing to take the blame and hope you all accept my apologies.

At any rate, I will be in the Dam Wednesday afternoon and if anybody actually wants to sit down and smoke a fatty, it's my treat. Cheers.

My comment about the use of manners was a general one D&CinOrg. No way directed at you.

And for what its worth, I think you are settling in here just fine. People here throw shit around for a giggle most of the time, its on us to try and duck out the way.

You've just proved my point, i originally said that you calling my ' Most Europeans i know fucking hate America' statement bullshit was unjustified because you don't know the people i know, same as i dont know what you experienced. So i guess the moral is, don't call what i say bullshit when have no idea whether it is or not if you don't like it called for you. Just to note, i was calling your experiences bullshit, i was calling your argument bullshit, which you've identified here when i used the same argument against you that you used on me.

That's why i said the Europeans I know. Come on man, don't bring up this old chesnut again, thanks for saving us. There was no-one else fighting other than you, no-one faced any loss's other than you, no-one else mattered because American were the ones that won the war

Don't try and take credit for something which is the ultimate image of the unification of the human spirit and sense of what is right over coming an extreme evil, it's hugely disrespectful to everyone else who fought and died for the cause. It wasn't Americas win, it was the Worlds win.

I think the whole people hate what they fear is right to an extend as well. However, i don't think people really fear America, i think it's to do with Politics, which as you said is a pointless reason to hate someone.
