I will be going in less then two weeks and just need a few tips please......I am going with my girlfriend so I would like to avoid any bad vibes so are there any places we should stay clear from?
We would like to know some cs we will be welcome in (we are English).
I have searched this site but things change and I am hoping for some up to date advice (thanks in advance).
Also how do I deal with the street dealers?

Never been there yet, but what I've learned from the highway of internet is, that just walk away from those. Don't say a thing, don't pay any attention. Ignoring all of those who might somehow harm you is usually the best way to stay out of trouble. Works everywhere, not only in Amsterdam.

Yeah just ignore them..but if they get in your face a loud FUCK OFF works well, they don't want to draw attention to themselves.

Just tell the Dealers "No Thanks", walk away without a word and they will probably follow you until they get an answer.
No Psst last few trips for me, just a crack head asking to borrow my lighter and i let her keep it

yeah all the guides say just ignore them BUT I got harassed for about 8 miles using this advice 15 years ago....so I think this time a loud FUCK OFF will be my method of choice thanks for that

lol yeah he was D a C he had a pill he kept trying to give me and he really really wanted me to buy it
But he was nowhere near as bad as this strange guy who latched on to my mate on a different visit...this guy was really hassling my mate into going for a drink lol, anyway I got pissed off in the end (I could see my mate was getting very worried by now) I fronted up to him and shouted "WE DONT WANNA GO FOR A DRINK WITH YOU FUCK OFF" his reply "I was not asking you I am asking him" I started laughing and said to Craig (my mate) "I think you've pulled mate" Craig got pissed and shouted at the strange bloke "FUCK OFF YOU STRANGE KUNT" this made the guy act even more stange, he pulled out a packet of 20 cigs and he started pulling em out the pack 1 at a time and then he would chuck em at my mates head while saying "I got cocaine I got cocaine" well this went on for a bit and I was laughing again, but then my mate grabbed him by the throat.....I said "leave it mate" he let go and the strange guy scurried off muttering summat I did not understand.
Thanks for that Boner I think we will hire bikes then we can just wizz from place to place and cover more ground.

Dude just say no thanks to any of these drug dealers on the streets, I have only had bums follow me around but I literally stop talking once ive given them an answer and they give up after a few questions are ignored
I suggest staying away from Bulldogs and places like Smokeys, they make you feel like a right tourist and are not friendly or even have any good bud.

I was there in October with the missus and we were approached 3 times in the RLD and twice up the side streets off the damrak.
I found saying "no into that mate" did the trick. Not once were we hassled or followed.
If you find that you are followed, just go into the first shop or bar you see and get yourself a drink.
Don't feel intimidated, you'll have a great time

Avoid eye contact, ignore them or a stern "No" with a dismissive head nod always did the trick for me. I must've been asked at LEAST 5 times a day, every day I was there. There's really no science to it. If you can brush off hustlers in your own town you can get rid of the street dealers in A'dam with ease.

I read that they've been closed down, can't confirm it though.
