Tbizla - Thizzler - Twissla - Thizla - Tibisla

Post by Mecha Gandhi »

How come this hash is never spelt the same way twice? I've seen this on so many menus, in so many ways, and usually always referring to the same type of hash - a slightly more intense than the average Moroccan polm. I usually quite like it, as it goes.

I can only assume these are all supposed to be the same thing?

Which, presumably, is hash originating from the Tissila region of central Morocco? (as distinct from Ketama, Rif etc)

That's what I always thought anyway, but I think that's the one way of spelling it I've never actually seen. I'm starting to think it's just a completely made up word. Does anyone know the true provenance of this stuff?

I'd guess that whoever sells it to the coffeeshops just says what it is by name and then they just spell it however they see fit.

Native to Morocco? Strange - because I am currently in the possession of Nepalese Temple Tibizla - yes, spelt like that... and being an Indian, this is the tastiest Nepalese I have had the pleasure of schmoking... and bwoy, I couldn't care where the word Tibizla comes from, coz all I know is that I am feeling rather dandy... :D

I also have the following:

Double Zero Pollen (The S-Bend special - so resinous in oil content, it actually bends, not kiddin ya)

Cold Pressed Polm, Blonde variety - tastier than a sherbert dip. :D lucky bastard that I am.

Caramello - nuff said!

And all this in London - who the man? Apparently that'll be my dealer ... lol

Man, that's just even more confusing. The Thibislalas I've tried were def Moroccan. Maybe the different spellings are different varieties after all...

As for your stash TD, that's pretty good going. As a fellow eastender, I'm rightly envious. I do actually happen to have a spot of soft, sticky 00 myself (wonder if it's the same batch? like Dairy Milk, but sticky and bendy) and a tiny bit of an unremarkable, but nice enough, nep black. Squirming with jealousy at anything Tempalese though!

Maybe the supplier has some terrible kind of speech impediment too, probably trying to say Ibiza or Rizla

I guess it's not important either way, was just one of those things I'd often pondered when perusing menus.

Mecha Gandhi, can't confirm the origins of Twizla/Tbizla (or the spelling for that matter), all I can say is steer clear of the turkey version  , however I can confirm TD is currently the man to see about rare and exotic hash!

Nice 1 TD, a pleasure to meet you on Saturday, will keep in touch. Great to put a face to a name, but more importantly to chill have a smoke with you - you know your stuff. I am loving the pollen, super sticky, great taste and long head stone whilst the Tbizla is just knockout.......had a small joint when I got home Sat. night (no pipe sadly!).

It was c 2330 when I lit it....and about 1:30am when I woke up, very lethargic from a body stone hit only hash can give you! Such a great taste & smell to it, almost incense-like.

The blond polm was lovely too, just a shame I didn't get to taste the Caramello!
10 B&H + a packet of rizla,not the greens

I actually saw the Moroccan Tibizla yesterday - smells very spicy, like chinese fire spice - a sorta sweet spicy smell.

Didn't get it though, I was a lot more impressed by the Cold Pressed Hasj tbh. Well, My medical needs are taken care of. This is my Med stash (all hasjs)

Cold Press - stimulate appetite and also for nervous tension

Double Zero S-Bend Pollen - Pain killer, I get stomach pains and this stuff settles it.

Nepali Temple Tibizla - Just a nice smoke. Very nice smoke actually...

Afghan Squidgy Black - not smoked this yet so can't comment

Caramello - Nuff said - lovely to put me in a good mood. Especially when I've hads a bad day.

Anyways - I'm good :)
