Same, been stoned to the bone, and working, but I feel we have enough of a plan to carry this thing out.
Also, I've had it confirmed that DeGraal opens at 10AM, so full steam ahead i think.

There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the week, to do everything, especially if you got some killer greenery around, and you have to stick the hours in at work aswell.

I'd be happy to help out on the first

As i am pretty unfamiliar with most of the coffeeshops in that area, i think the go with the flow attitude suits me perfectly. So long as the shops are big enough for us to cater then i think it's gonna be nothing but an awesome day.

Thats it enough space is a must, i reckon the group might get quite large, what with a few extra people tagging on, should be a good 1, agreed

All,

Joining this post very late.....it saddens me to know I definitely can't make 420, but at the same time I am loving hearing your plans about a full on de Pijp crawl.

I can definitely vouch for the fish place near Katsu, Eeetcafe Loetje (ok, not strictly de Pijp but across the border on Ruysdaelstraat), Burger Meester food-wise....also don't miss the old (Vietnamese?) guy on Albert Cuyp market selling Loempias (a long spring roll) for 1Euro, great street food! The chocolate stall (Priscillas?) is also the bomb.

As for coffeeshops, I've been to about half of those mentioned, all I would say going on the last 2 visits (late Feb was the last 1) is don't sleep on Kabouter, if I was going I would make it a must to visit.

Depending on where you lads are approaching De Pijp from, it could be worth making Kabouter the 1st stop, then De Graal (like some of the maps posted, but in reverse!) and onwards from there. Without exaggerating, everything we bought from here was top notch, and well-priced too. Kabouter Skunk (7.50/g) was amazing for the price, cured perfectly, shimmering with trichomes and a potent night time weed. Amnesia Haze was a great example, and some of the best priced around at 8.50/g. Kabouter Haze at 10E/g was simply amazing - stuart1976 knows the SP, as I believe does Twichaldinho from a previous trip report - but the Kabouter Special (a strong, fruity and very tasty Indica) was the best, also at 10/g.

Will keep following this thread about my favourite part of the 'Dam, I'm sure it will be a nuts crawl come 420.

That was great info, DRR, thank you very much. I LOVE loempia and ya can't beat 1 euro.

I'll definitely be trying out Kabouter as well (hopefully on this crawl). Sorry you can't make it this year, maybe we'll get to meet next 420.

Peace,
IG

Stuart's 7 shop route, on page 3, would be a good one to use for the April/22nd Crawl. I would make a few additions and route change. I get the feeling everyone wants to go to DeGrall early instead of the last stop. So my suggestion would be, to go from Media to Katsu then to DeGrall and Kabouter. from there head over to Carmona, YoYo and maybe D&L. Then off to Tollstratt G.H (optional), Papillion, Ocean and Space Mountain. Just an idea. Looking forward to it!!

islandgurl, you're welcome. The 'special' loempia at 1.50 is great too - 1 is made with pork/chicken and the other is minced prawn? I'd never tried 1 before going to 'Dam but it just reinforces my view that Vietnamese food is amazing.

Hey stuart....ok, there was some bud I didn't like that we bought round here. S.A.G.E from Katsu is 1. De Graal was virtually sold out of all weed last time too, though what they had (Cheese, Goldrup & Edelweiss) was very good - especially the Cheese at 10/g. They also stock a strain called 'Afghan Widow'. This was a major disappointment when I tried it. It crumbled....for want of a better description...in an unusual way, tasted a little like Afghan, but the high was weak to non-existent. The 'Buiten (Outdoor?) Haze' from here wasn't to my liking either, but with Yo-Yo round the corner does it really matter? Also avoid their top-priced hand pressed Maroc hash - about 15e/g. DO buy the Parvati, great hash and only 10e/g. Others to avoid...Jamaican from Pacific, the Thai might be better & the India Cush certainly was! Lobotomy from Media is overpriced in my book at 10/g with little or no dicount for bigger buys - my favourite bud here has to be the Hindu Kush, although I have heard great things about both the Pot of Gold & Hippie (smoke reports would be appreciated people!). Pacific is a great priced shop, a little away from the other shops....if you do visit get their Widow (superb at 7.50/g) but the Desert Bud was poor. GH Tolstraat is, well, a Greenhouse coffeeshop, so pricey and often busy. Trainwreck is consisently good from here, Super Lemon Haze was too last time, but more so than any shop in this area, check the wares, bad batches aplenty filter through.

Hope that helps, I'll add more as I remember it!
