Late night smoking....where?

Post by Justboy »

hey. just wondering do coffeeshops have to close by law at a certain time, like 1 am or something? or is it simply up the individual shops.

if there are any coffeeshops which open late at night which people know of it would be great to hear which ones....cheers.

most coffeeshops close at 12 or 1. Check the directory for individual times ;)

Honestly, that was one of the only things that really surprised me about Amsterdam. I'm used to the party scene back home closing up at 4 but seeing all the shuttered coffeeshops when it was still relatively early threw me for a loop indeed.

yeah I know, it sucks. The bars and clubs are open later though. At least you can buy early then blaze up there :D

I suppose I can see the benefit though... You don't wanna be sat in your favourite cs at 3 or 4am nice and chilled only for it to suddenly fill with a dozen super loud drunks who may or may not throw a massive whitey

EDIT: Is it law to close before a certain time? I don't know.

Coffeeshops use to be able to stay open later but with the tightening up of the regulations a few years ago, they have to shut at 1am now.
