travel agent first choice have always done mine and theyll match any rate u find better anywhere else. They even check online there and then for u. At 1.10 id jump at that now. As you said with a hung parliment it could and probably will drop dramitically gl

My secret (sssh).

First use the Moneysavingexpert.com travel money maximiser at http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/. Try saying that when your baked. That'll give you a pretty good range of rates available, although there is also the possibility that you'll find a marginally better rate elsewhere.

Then just make a note of the best rate available, and the details of the company offering that rate, and book with Travelex, a huge firm with offices in every major UK airport. Travelex guarantee to pricematch any better offer in the UK up to a £50 difference, provided you book on their website. note that If you just walk up to the BDC in the airport you will get raped on the rate.

Details on how the claim the refund: are at http://www.travelex.co.uk/uk/priceguarantee.aspx

I got 1.08 at the post office, was hoping for 1.10 but if u change £500 it's only 10 euro difference. Every little helps, I know but the way it's fluctuating at the moment it could drop to 1.04 like it did the other week :s

It was still 1.03 in my post office on monday...so i guess that shows it is very unpredictable at the moment.

Right now (even tho i cant change all my money for a couple of weeks) i would take a 1.06 exchange rate......so 1.08 sounds really good to me on my findings.

Tescos are offering a reasonable rate, when i looked last night i could get an extra £43. to every £500 changed up, the post office were not far of that either but i think you had to do it on line(post office).

Im looking to club my money together with Bens and try and change up a £1000 and see if i can get a better rate for changing more up, don't know that i will mind you

This site doesn't look too bad if you order in advance...

http://www.travelmoneyservices.co.uk/content/euros.asp

If I ordered £500 to arrive just before I go on the 21st, I would get €551.40 at an exchange rate of 1.1028.... And free delivery on orders over £500.

Post office rates on their website give a rate of 1.0791 - €540 for £500 if I changed it right now.

I bought my euros on wednesday from ICE plc £500 got me 550e with free insured next day delivery & it arrived thursday just after noon.
First Choice would only pay me 535e and Travellex & Fairfx wouldve gave me 540e... 10 to 15 euro isnt much but enough of a difference for a gram of some decent weed.
Not long to wait now, roll-on thursday
