Maybe do a search on the type of butane i remember Usbl and others talking about it , or check through the grow thread ? hth

Yeh fuck, make sure you use the right ones. B&Q used to sell one of the brands but stopped probably clicked on to why everyone was buying it. E-bay had some on aswell, when i get time and if you have not had a reply i will get on and drop the link in for it.

Here is the deal: how much is effort is it worth to make the butane? You might get something, but i have never considered using anything except quality buds when making edibles or hahsish. Even your most powerful edibles (commonly found in CA cannabis clubs) use 1.2g of amazing bud per edible, so i am not sure how much you will have to save, and how much you will have to labor to make something even reasonably decent.
A volcano (if used properly) is the most efficient means of getting high from THC. Smoking waste an upwards of 50% right off the top, so consider the gains from specialization (volcano) about as good as it will get.
We refer to this as diminishing returns.
