Most topics don't get serious, but when giving advice to first timers and newbies, we should give some serious advice. Or should we tell them to figure it out for themselves? Not everyone grew up around or lives with or near people who smoke weed. For way too many, the extent of knowledge about cannabis is from what they were taught in school (DARE, Scared Straight, etc...) or bullshit stories and irresponsible media (Faux News). Hmm, could this be a primary reason why so many are against cannabis?
Its a hard one as i have recently returned from amsterdam n tbh was not overly impressed with quality od weed. i smel n looked at every purchase along with many others i passed up on. i bought bb cheese mango kush sour d la confidential headband ( OG kush x trainwreck) white choco hashplant haze superlemon haze greyberry (blueberry x bubblegum) grey mist chocolope pink kush g13 haze lsd acapulco gold blueberry.
i bought the hashplant haze n la without looking at them n remember not being impressed with smell n look of either but they were along with the mango kush n LA confidential the only weed i would buy again.

have to agree with you evo. It's not the first time ive done that and it's not the first time ive done it for another by letting them grab a toke of my j. As you said weed is social so the company you acn find yourself in wwhile in a cs is just second to none. Man i love this city.
