QWISO Hash

A week or two ago, I saw we had a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and decided I'd make some hash with it. It occurs to me that while it's a bit off-topic as it's not coffeeshop related, I've also noticed that as far as I remember it's never been mentioned here. So, I thought I'd put some info out there in case anyone was interested.
QWISO hash is "Quick Wash" Isopropyl Hash. You make it by soaking your material in isopropyl alcohol, (I use 91% because it's the highest concentration I can get.) then you strain the alcohol out into a glass plate or pyrex dish to let the alcohol evaporate. After all the alcohol evaporates, use a razor blade to scrape up the hash.
So you grind up your bud, shake, trimmings, stems, vape duff, whatever you got, and throw it in the freezer for an hour or so. Then, put it in a glass container at least twice as large as the amount of weed you're working with. Pour the isopropyl alcohol over the weed, completely submerging it and some. Gently stir the mixture for up to about a minute or so. In my experience, letting it soak in the isopropyl for more than a minute just gets you more chloryphyll and other non-active ingredients and you end up with a dark green sticky goop thats more like runny sticky bong resin than hash. What you want is the alcohol to absorb the THC and cannabinoids but not pull the inactive compounds as well.
I then take two strainers, and put a couple coffee filters between them. I hold them over a large pyrex dish, and strain the isopropyl through so that the strainer catches all the weed and all that goes through the coffee filter is isopropyl. (I can take pics next time if anyone cares). I then take the alcohol-filled dish and place it in front of the window with a fan blowing on it to speed the evaporation process. Depending on how much you have to evaporate, it can take from a couple of hours to a couple of days. Since the other 9% in my 91% isopropyl alcohol is made entirely up of water, as long as I wait until all the alcohol evaporates there are no worries that there's anything harmful or dangerous in the hash.
Then, once its dry, use a razor blade to scrape it up, smoke and enjoy!
You can also made hash from your grinder, as long as it's gotten a decent amount of use. Just soak the grinder pieces in isopropyl, then pour into a glass/pyrex dish and let the alcohol evaporate. If you've never done this, you will be amazed at what you'll get. I was using a grinder on a daily basis for more than a year before I did this and got more than a gram out of it. What scrapes off the dish is a light colored powder, as it's made almost entirely of trichomes.
I've got a vape whip I want to try this on, since I assume that concentrated vapor has to have an extremely high THC content.
