Im a very happy person I have a great life I was just super high and I needed to get off my chest how amazing of a plant I think MJ is. Im in complete agree-ance about smoking to hide problems as I have been depressed in the past and relied on blazing as a way to help me not think about it, but this whole post was in no way to say i'm depressed. I just felt like yelling out to the world Weed IS GOOD! and the only place I could say it and get some good feedback or negative in this case was on here.

I was feeling you Rasa. I sensed a little doom and gloom from a couple of previous responses so I decided to represent for Mary Jane.

Instead of doom and gloom it was honest concern for another humans mental state ( albeit misplaced concern. ) Which were representing for common sense?

Questioning someone how they feel about having to take medicine in order to feel good is definitely an attempt to cast doom and gloom over a situation. It was only DC's post I thought was doomish and gloomish, but I didn't want to single him out and start a flame war.

I think what DC was saying was do you want to rely on meds to get you through the day or do you want to develop your own mental strength to do so yourself.

The thing is, it's not just anti-depressants, it's not like someone was on SSRI's etc. it's someone saying they use a psychoactive crude plant substance to get through the day. Which as DC said, is a dangerous thing.

This whole Medical use has IMO gone a bit too far. Yes Cannabis can be useful for some conditions, however, don't go medicating yourself with it. That is for medical professionals to decide, they have the training and knowledge. Cannabis is not a cure all drug, no drug is. If you like to get stoned, just leave it at that, that's your right to do. But don't try and wrap it up in this Medical needs argument, you feel happy when you get high sure, but it's a fake and hollow substance induced happiness. Mentally healthy people have deep fulfilled happiness, because it comes from an internal source not a external psychoactive substance.

The source of all good health is internal, it's that simple, if Cannabis helps people get that then good. People can listen to Rick Simpson et al, i will go with the majority medical opinion, that the use of Cannabis is over-rated as a medicine.

All I'm saying is that if someone questioned my need to take medicine in order to feel good I would certainly think they were trying to cast a sense of doom and gloom over my situation. I really don't fell like getting into another debate with you where you argue against points I never made in the first place.

That you're mis-understanding what DC was saying, he wasn't casting doom gloom. Like i said first of all.

It's a matter of interpretation. I'm sure DC didn't intend on his words having that effect, but if someone questioned my need for medicine to feel good I would think they were casting doom and gloom on my situation.

Sometimes questioning a behavior is a the best way to gain a real perspective on it.

And the questioning of that behavior can also be an attempt to make someone feel guilty for their actions.

Don't judge everybody by yer own standards.

Dude, you just read what somebody types then spout out some bullshit without even understanding what you read. Deja vu!!?!
Rasa, how do you feel about having to take medicine in order to feel good though. Shouldn't ya be finding out why that is before you get too comfortable and enjoy it?.
Where the fuk is the 'doom and gloom'?. It's 2 serious questions to somebody that was suggesting they're ill and weed's the 'medicine'. As it happens, he got high and enjoyed it, that's all. But your advice of smoke on and forget about it kinda sucks ass if he'd have had some underlying mental issuses that needed properly diagnosed, before being medicated...with whatever. It explains alot about you though.

Those words could easily be mis-interpreted so don't act like hot shit. I never said smoke on and forget either so don't put words in my mouth and you don't know shit about me so don't act like you do. I didn't single you out originally because I knew you would get in a tizzy and cry about it, turns out I was right.
