O...M...F...G
I HAVE to stop taking breaks from coming here....ridiculous.
DC, I can't remember how long it's been since I've laughed so hard. When I got to page 4 and saw the ice cream cone .gif I lost it. Then I read your half-day post documenting your life and almost died when I came within scant millimeters of slamming my head off the desk as I fell out of the chair LMFAO. Dammit, man....well done....well done *shaking head*
And USBL's comment was one of the more appropriate posts...oddly enough

It really doesnt surprise me that you would relate to a childish cartoon image from the TeeVee than you would to a man that is trying to help people live longer lives through cannabis therapy.DC wrote:Expert?.
Sorry, right picture, wrong Simpson....Doh!
Will you be posting pics of the TeleTubbies next? I can hardly wait.

Or Rick Simpson is taking presuading people away from proven medical approachs to dealing with cancer etc. to a substance which has not been proven to be helpful in the curing of cancer in any longitudinal and extensive experiment on either Animals or Humans. The research of Cannabis and it's effects on cancer is lacking extremely in terms of it being regarded as a viable medical alternative. IMO Rick Simpson et al are playing a dangerous game, the advice they give can make people think Cannabis is a viable tool for fighting Cancer, for saying this he is a complete tool as there are not enough studies at all to make this outrageous claim. He is in fact imo misleading people, and if a proper Doctor was to do such a thing, he would most likely be struck off.
Therefore, Rick Simpson and those supporting him need to wait until it is proven before jumping up and down about it. Also, do you not find it funny that annecdotal evidence combined with the results of a few studies which which don't confirm a 100% answer but instead suggest a possible connection are enough to convince people of the positive Cancer fighting aspects of Cannabis. But when the same standard of evidence is applied to pointing out the possible negative aspects of Cannabis, Schizophenia, then those same people are the first saying the studies dont prove it at all ( and rightly so.) However if you are to do this, then you have to admit that Rick Simpsons claims are unfounded or just as likely to be true as Cannabis causing Schizophenia.

It really doesn't surprise me that you're still goin on about Rick Simpson like he's some kind of Messiah, instead of the more 'qualified' and generally more intelligent people that are in the world today. It also doesn't surprise me that yer so narrowed minded in this subject that you'd quote Rasa in yer attempt at sarcasm, even though he was 'singing your song' by starting this thread. What does surprise me though is you're even in this thread, isn't it a little too hot for you or did you just run out of things to cut and paste?. You seem to also be missing the point of what being a good 'news reader' is all about, neutrality, otherwise it's pretty much like listening to Fox. Even they have some interesting stories now and again, but on the really important issues their bias attitutde often makes the need for 'facts' not so important. Ring any bells?. Maybe if you'd change 'childish' with 'humorous' you would be correct in what you say because I, don't think Rick Simpson is the Messiah, you do. So I can relate to a bit of fun over some eejit that can't even record what he's doin, anyday. Y'know what makes me laugh though, when medical use of MJ on cancer and other ailments does get put into full use, it'll have fuk all to do with Rick Simpson.
can we get back to topic? nice.
you`re right to say, there is psychological benefit in smoking pot, but that depends on the situation and everything.....I started thinking about death very much in the last few weeks.
So I stopped smoking after smoking everyday for about 1 1/2-2years yesterday, because it makes me think too much. I know how this sounds, but it can be very depressing when you have to think too much, it just makes you sick. so I stopped. hope this bad feeling will go away......right now I am feeling fine, its easier to put these thoughts away than in the time of being high. so it can be both, it can help you think about your problems, but it can also make you "think too much" like I did.
hope you get what I mean

i stopped for 1year & 3months before i went back to amsterdam for that 1st smoke, i still havn't had a puff in england since NYE 2005, i now look at things differently from when i used to think to much & get para, i'v adopted an attitude of f**k it everyone lives & everyone dies, we'r not alive long enough to waste it worrying about things, my advice to you is stay off it for a couple months before you go back to smoking, because your underlying attitude which makes you think to much wont have change at all after 1days rest off mj, it took me about 8months before my true feelings were changed
