As im going on my first trip on 1st-5th April I plan on visiting a few of the touristy places in between coffeeshop visits and was wondering if anyone has been to the following attractions i plan on seeing.

Hash, MMJ & Hemp Museum or Cannabis college -which is better?
Sex museum or Erotic museum - again which is best?
Dutch Resistance museum
Electric Ladyland - flourescent museum
heineken experience

Any thoughts on them and have i missed any others out, Im no art lover so rembrandt, van gogh type attractions are out for me.

Im plannin on seeing them over 4days late am/mid afternoon so im not too wasted....

Hmmm... How about Hortus Botanicus? I've been to Heineken, in hindsight I'd rather go to Brouwerij ‘t IJ. I can't vouch for any of your other ideas

The Hash&Hemp Museum is OK, The sex museum is cool if you are a middle aged or older couple, The dutch resistance museum is worth it I went twice. There is a small museum called, in English, the church in the attic, that is worth it as well, Now you can get a museum card for about 40 euros that will get you in to any museum that gets money from the Dutch government it is good through out the country and is also good for a year. The city of Amsterdam also have passes that include admission as well as a tram/bus/metro card, check with the VVV for them. The national card you can get at any museum that accepts it . I would also highly recommend the Amsterdam Historical Museum, the VanGogh museum, the Rijks is under renovations, the Houseboat Museum is also a quick one to walk about. Sorry I can't think of any more. The cards I described do not cover the Hash, sex, or Ann Frank house as they are privately owned

You really need to see some of the real museums. Trust me, some day you will thank me.

I know that you said you want to skip the art museums, but one thing I'd like to add is that the Van Gogh museum serves alcohol and has DJs in the lobby on Fridays, it's a fun atmosphere to check out some cool art.

Thanks, that's a pretty cool way to bring in the people who aren't into art gallerys, ie me  Might have to check it out on the friday then, but to me a paintings just a painting no matter its age or value.

Don't waste your time on the Heineken Experience it's now just a long infomercial with little value reported by visitors, sure you get one or two glasses of beer at the end but I heard it's shit.

If you're not into art you should check out the Amsterdam Historical Museum
which has tons of mucho cool exhibits that will fascinate.

The Dutch resistance museum is the only one on your list that will really move you, the other ones are fluff museums at best, meh maybe not the cannabis college or electric ladyland.

If you can find the door and get the code to go in ( you have to wait by the door for someone going in to get the code) the Begijnhof just off the Spui is a 16th century courtyard oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the street outside. A place where you'll find hidden the oldest wooden house in Amsterdam c1470ish, and one of the churches the Pilgrims' hung out at before setting off for the new world.

Right near there and around the corner from the Dampkring is a little hole in the wall Friets place that has been making the most sublime Belgian fries since the 1800's.
Dont miss it.

Take a canal boat rides at dusk the twilight makes the buildings look really cool and the low light allows you to see into many of the canal houses along the way, and marvel at the interiors of upper crust 17century homes.

Have fun.

i was at heineken museum last year....thought it was pretty good, you get 3 or 4 beers as far as i remember and it was €15, which i thought was probably worth it.
