Spending money: How much do you usually take?

You could post up for previous times you've been, or what you plan on taking for your next visit. Personally, with going for 3nights, i'm thinking £200-£250. Reckon that'll see me through? I suppose it depends on how much you plan on smoking, eating, drinking etc....

So, what's food & travel costs like? With it being about 1.50E for a normal beverage in a CS, is it likely I'll run out with the amount of CS's I intend to visit (A LOT). Anyone know the admission price for the Zoo? (also, I heard there's a smoking part in there, is that true?).

Think I'm taking enough, or I need to try & get more? :P

*Apologies to anyone who's mind has melted from the above post.

A ticket for the Zoo is 18.50 Euros for adults, kids between 3 & 9yrs old cost 15!!! not much of a discount... but this price includes admission to the Planetarium, the Geological Museum & the Aquarium which are all located in Artis park aswell.
Not sure about smoking - u planning on sharing a spliff with a few monkeys

Though that's a tight-ish budget, you'll be ok following adamsters advice. Found the zoo quite cramped and not the best imo, you can smoke on the back terrace of the zoo's cafe, canal side, careful if yer blazin though, there'll likely be a lot of families. Enjoy...AP.

Looking at getting a twin room for 3nights for around £190, & ferrying it over for £194 (both split by two), so £200/£250+ would just be my spending money.

I was under the impression cold drinks would be cheaper than hot, say a lemonade compared to a hot choc, but 2E seems cool I suppose. I'll probably avoid eating out apart from once or twice at walk2wok/wagamama's, although not if there isn't any vegan dishes (should be alright in wagamama's, not sure about W2W), so the supermarket is a good idea-thanks!...just wish I had kitchen facilities, haha.

The Zoo trip is more my mates idea, i'm not overly a fan of the places...being wsted I'll probably end up doing something silly :P Nah, I'll prob' go for the crack, providing you can smoke...

That much? Ouch! I'll probably give it a miss unless my mate insists.

Ah fuck you're right AP, families & shit! While high that'd send me a bowl of sours...will be giving it a miss for sure now lol. I'll spend them 18E's on some nice bud, or put it towards some ice-o...maybe.

Ohh, I bet you were :P

If I can aquire more funds I'll probably end up taking them, but at the moment it looks like I'll have to budget a lil' bit. Unless I somehow miraculously find cheaper accomodation than what I've been looking at, hmm...
