My vote is for the people at The Nes. They were fucking great! Also a big up to John at the Grey Area.

I just arrived back from my first time to amsterdam. I found everyone to be so cool there. My favorite coffeeshop was the Prix D'ami. the people there are so cool and adopted my friend and I as regulars from the start. We always ended our days there, and started them to before going out and exploring. Its a fun place to explore. I also liked the La Canna and 420 Cafe. had very good experiences at them two places also. good luck with your travels and just remember, you are walking very slow and the cars and bikes are going very fast. hehe

Thanks heaps for the recommendations cattales1960! I wasn't sure what the people were like at Prix D'ami. Surprised about La Canna...but not the 420 - can't wait to finally get to that place!
I miss that place so much.

thanks trike, yes reading other posts I see not alot of people had as good of an experience as I did at the La Canna. It may have been a timing thing, but I did not have a bad experience there. I did visit alot of other shops. got some great hash from the basement in the red light district. peace :)
