Pre Paid SIM - Data Prices

Post by SkinAnother »

Hi guys,

I have an unlocked HTC HD2 (Leo) and im looking for a Pre Paid SIM card solely for data when i visit for 5 days at the end of the month. I know my phone is Wi-Fi enabled but i will need it on the go. I am aware of Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange etc but I was just wondering if anyone knew the Data prices out there? I'm not really bothered which network I use, just an idea on price would be great. (I have looked on this site and the operators sites with no joy, sorry if i've missed something)

Many Thanks

SA

According to the Vodafone Website they offer unlimited data for € 9.50 a month. I remember seeing a store on the Nieuwendijk and Kalverstraat.

Peace,

Not meaning to hijak the thread or anything but I thought it better to ask here rather than start a new one.

Ok so I'm going to take my phone with me for gps use and I have an o2 payg sim with like a tenner on it. If I just start using that how can I fi out what data rate I will be charged at? Do I contact o2 or s it dependabt on whatever network it switches to when I switch on over there?

no, you would have to contact O2, new EU regulations have made it so you will not be able to connect to the internet using your mobile network unless you buy a pre paid bundle of data to use abroad, which is pretty pricey. This is why i want to find out about rates with a NL SIM.

Hope this helps.

yeah, i would get hold of O2, otherwise it will not actually allow you to go online at all using the mobile network. again i hope this helps dude, what dates are you heading over??

if anyone knows any more info on the NL SIM please post :)

I second this. I made this exact same question about a month ago. I'm going in May, and sticking to the vodafone. It's 9.50 for unimited, t-mobile is 2.50 euros a day so depends how long you're going for. vodafone store <10 mins from central station

The vodafone SIM is 6.50 or 7.50 euros. I don't believe this company exactly gives credit with purchase, but then again, I'm not buying minutes, only data
