Mate no offence but you're silly for thinking anyone would sort you out via contact over a forum. I've felt your pain at times but i've never been inclined to ask on a forum lol.

Yeah, I'd imagine (more hope so) that everyone on here is genuine, but askign to 'get sorted' over the internet can only lead to three possible outcomes: 1. conned 2. busted or 3. you get the deal. From a suppliers perspective he or she is placing a lot of trust in someone who they met on the internet, likewise with the paying customer. It's not worth the risk imo.

Stuarts words were some sound advice for when in a new place without your contacts...

I live in Swansea, there are alot of students who sell to get by, most of it here is either damp or sprayed. Check out the Bryn Y Mor pub (on Bryn Y Mor Road) always full of students and out of town so a good place to ask, just don't expect high quality bud, I am still to find any. Hope this will help you on your way and if you fancy a pint PM me.
