If this Route 66 road trip comes to pass, and you find yourself in Chicago in search of a homecooked meal or even some supplies, simply send a private message and something can be arranged. My wife loves nothing more than to cook for hungry stoners, and we always enjoy meeting like-minded people. Just an offer. Peace.
If you make good on this planned trip, the wife and I would hook up with you and your wife for a day or two in Arizona. There's a great little mining town called "Oatman" on your route. Wild Burro's roam this area and you feel like your back in the 1800's....classic.

Frankly the prices are a joke and i have seen everything etc, etc .i may make it out this year but if not there is always next. All the best with your future plans

Nice one Boner thanks for a great travelogue. I do understand about having enough of a good thing, and counting the cost afterwards. It's been a long time since you could go on a wing and a prayer and crash on someones floor, there comes a time when comfort is important and that doesn't come cheap, in any major city. I've been going to Holland for about 45 years, (yeah I'm old enough to know better by now I'm sure) sometimes with 2 or 3 years between trips and sometimes 3 or 4 trips a year, but I dont always go to Amsterdam every trip as I'm a cyclist and I just like to keep moving, been North, South, East and West and because of that I really still enjoy Amsterdam when I do get there. (420 next) yippee

nice report boner, i too have been away for sometime for the same reasons... there is just only so much you can do in amsterdam before your doing the same things over and over. but and there is a big but there is no place like it and i will always love the things amsterdam has to offer, its just nice to break it up a bit.
you should try out jamaica! i can recommend some amazing resorts if your interested and even have some great connections over there for some very high grade jamaican herb.
i havent had the urge to hit up amsterdam since my last trip but after a small break and reading through all the new posts and travel reports i can feel the slightest itch in the back of my head. haha
cheers man

The sad thing is, Bone, you really SHOULDN'T stop there because this statement is 100% CORRECTUSBONGLORD wrote:and,,,hahahahahahahahahahaha..baltimore,..hahahahahahahahahah...i mean only if ya wanna get really high.....all those other places have no paulverizer therefore you will never be quite satisfiedin fact ,,,dont come..i dont wanna ruin you for the rest of the world

And BTW...make sure you put a pin in New York for your trip because we're less than 20 miles from Route 66
To prove how out of it I am, I didn't even know this report existed! True...and sad. I loved it, though...and your pics were great. Definitely reminded me of when the Mrs and I tromped around Heaven *sigh*.
Lastly, please don't leave the forum. Seriously, just stick around and bullshit with us if you don't feel your advice on gear is going to be up-to-date. We like you...and not having you posting would tip the Earth in the wrong direction and the ocean currents would reverse and it would pretty much be the end of life as we know it.
There are other sections to post in that you may still use as well *cough - Grow Section - cough*
Cheers, I'm not going anywhere ACD is in my blood now.
Thought I'd stick some more 'touristy' pics up, the first lot I saw all over the place and couldn't quite work out why, I'm guessing the last one explains them.

Next up a floating bike park and then a couple of pics from the North side:

^^ Loved this house?
Next up is 2 things in 1 picture you'll see the most 'crashed'

A couple of random shots:

Last but not least, my fave pic of this trip:
