Yea they might do it under the counter but thats about it these days,Gone of the days of qtr`s & such.

I saw another menu that had similar amounts offered - there was however a disclaimer at bottom of menu stating it was for group purchase only. Read into that what you will

Hiya, we went here last weekend and spent quite a few hours in the bar, I got my weed from the coffeeshop next door, which I think is the best place to buy around there. I've been to amsterdam a dozen times or more and this was one of the first shops I went into and I've never bought anything poor there, so I'll deffo be back. love mr.tickles tours

Never been in here yet but am staying in their hotel for 1 nite when i visit in june ! so im sure i shall check it then

Honestly, how is the weed here? Am tempted to take advantage of the hotel discount but haven't heard many good things about their greenery.

I passed throught GE a couple of times, the last being in November 08, had some Northern Lights which i had no complaints with.

Not sure, will find out on the 18th.

Their website states that all hotel guests receive a discount from the shop & bar.

I think it is 10% but will find out on the 18th too. Dunno what the bud is like though but if its good then i would be happy with 10% off.

I've stayed once in the GHE Hotel (the rooms above the shop) and another time at one of their apartments across the street. The bigger apartments are a good value if you can snag one - they're quite popular.

Yes, the discount is 10% at the coffeeshop and happy hour prices all day at the bar.

As for the gear, it's pretty good but not usually great. Last time I was there, in Jan 2007, the SSH was quite nice, while the Sour Diesel was just OK. I ended up stocking up elsewhere afterwards.

But the 1st time I visited AMS and this shop, in Dec 1998 - they had this ridiculous strain called Slide - to this day, it was one of the best smokes I've ever had - AMS/NYC/CA/Spain/Anywhere! The budtender at the time said I was pretty lucky to get some, as it came around rarely and in small qty's. I've never seen it since in 4 trips to AMS and would love to come across it again! The buds looked like walnuts and when you "cracked" one open, it was almost pure white inside.... ahh memories...

At any rate, yes, the GHE is a definitely a good place to stay and chill. I'd give their stuff a try, especially with the discount, but take a good look 1st. I highly recommend their banana spacecakes though.
